Tuesday was Black Women’s Equal Pay Day—a reminder that Black Women had to work well into 2026 just to earn what a man made in 2025.

Yesterday, I stood with my colleagues to call attention to this unacceptable injustice.

As a co-lead of the Black Women’s Equal Pay Day Resolution, I will not stop fighting until Black women receive equal pay for equal work. It is long overdue.

UN partners like UNFPA do lifesaving work to keep mothers and babies safe in the middle of war.

Senator Lindsey Graham and I may have disagreed on plenty, but he understood the importance of international alliances, diplomacy, and development. Senator Graham was willing to work across the aisle on this essential work.

That same willingness to find common ground helped us pass the bipartisan Speak Out Act, protecting survivors of sexual assault and harassment from being silenced.

My thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
