Keep in mind! Some cloud providers reserve IP addresses for internal functions and so on, so while you may have a set number of IP based on math, you may not really have all those free.
Easy subnetting via counting on your fingers!
If you have a /29 subnet, how many host addresses are there?
Max subnet mask is /32.
32 - 29 = 3
Count out 3 fingers. Now count by power of 2 on these 3 fingers: 2, 4, 8.
A /29 subnet has 8 available IP addresses.
The reverse works too!
If you need 60 host IP addresses - start counting by power of 2 on your fingers.
2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64.
Six fingers to get enough addresses.
32 - 6 = 26
You need a /26 to support 60 hosts.
