🎥 WATCH: A million-dollar question—literally.
There’s no income cap under SB 2. That means millionaire—and even billionaire—families are eligible for school vouchers, funded by your tax dollars.
This isn’t about helping working families.
It’s a handout for the wealthy. #txlege
Young people aren’t waiting for permission to take their seats at the table, they’re demanding it - and making their voices heard in our political process.
Appreciated diving into these issues with @mariacardonadc and @juanproano on @contrariannews. #LatinoVoices#txlege
What’s happening to our families should be a wake-up call. Stand up, know your rights as citizens and demand justice.

Democratic @RepRamonRomero discusses the Republican Party's push to reach more Latino voters ahead of the November midterm election. "A lot of Hispanics in Texas voted for President Trump in 2024. And now we're hearing that may not happen again in 2026." @cbs11jack Eye On Politics: https://t.co/4BurajrfHy
Just 29,000 jobs added in September. Unemployment ⬆️ to 4.2%. Wages trailing inflation for six straight months.
Less opportunity. Less buying power. Families pay the price.
Important conversations at In Dialogue TEXAS! Thank you @USHispanicBusiness for hosting a Q&A together with Talarico and Paxton to champion the issues that matter most to Latino communities and business owners. #ushbc

At #TribFest2026, @lilykepner asked Rep. @RepRamonRomero why he thinks some Texas lawmakers turned against DEI.
“Maybe because it’s been successful. Because success is a threat,” @RepRamonRomero said.

WATCH: Person shot by ICE agent in Austin, Texas during confrontation involving vehicle.
The suspect was hospitalized in unknown condition as a result of the shooting.
I am very angry and extremely disappointed that a person was shot on the streets of Austin by ICE.
While I’m angry and disappointed, I’m not surprised. This has happened in other cities. With the rogue nature of ICE and the chaos we’re seeing fomented by ICE, there’s no reason to be surprised.
Austinites have a right to know what happened and they have a right to feel safe in their community.
Though APD was not involved in the shooting, I believe that there needs to be an investigation that APD assures is clear-eyed, as complete as possible, and independent. I’ve discussed this with Chief Davis. Chief Davis deployed APD’s Special Investigation Unit and the Unit has been on scene this afternoon. This is the same unit that investigates Austin’s officer involved shootings.
Chief Davis has also been in contact with the Texas Rangers and has asked the Rangers to assist in an investigation. This participation with the Texas Rangers will be important due to the access the Texas Department of Public Safety had early in the incident.
As the city continues to receive more information, we will make sure to keep the community aware.
A crowd has gathered at the site where an ICE officer shot a man today in Austin to protest. Dozens of Texas DPS, Austin PD and ICE officers just staring. Car where the man was shot is still here.
Texas is the epicenter of this massive detention and deportation operation, where private companies are making hundreds of millions off the suffering of our neighbors.
Record high⛽️📈
When the cost of transporting groceries and consumer goods rises, families directly feel it in the prices they pay for everyday necessities.
Record-high diesel will make life even more expensive for American households and hit Hispanic families especially hard.
