Kosovo is the single greatest American ally in the Western Balkans.
It is a grave mistake that the White House just nominated ambassadors to Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina while leaving Kosovo's post vacant.

As a gay Afro-Latino kid from the Bronx, I never took Pride for granted.
Pride is a reminder that progress is possible, and worth fighting for. May we take this time to honor the trailblazers who came before us, and celebrate our community today.
Happy Pride Month!
Wishing a blessed Eid al-Adha to all who observe. May this holy day bring peace to your home, strength to your faith, and joy to you and your loved ones. Eid Mubarak.
After months of stonewalling, the Trump Administration finally released $156.5 million in ADA funding for transit stations in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
I joined my colleagues in demanding this money be freed up, because nearly 830,000 New Yorkers with disabilities deserve to use their own subway system.
This is a win for the Bronx, and I won't stop fighting until every station is fully accessible.
Our fourth story in our series "Our Forgotten Borough" looks into the Ombudsperson Call Center, an important source of oversight for NYCHA, addressing mold and water leaks in every borough. Few people know it exists.

@NYCHA None of this would have happened without Danny Barber. As TA President, he never stopped pushing for the improvements Jackson Houses families deserve. This is what it looks like when residents have a real advocate in their corner.
Today, I joined @NYCHA to celebrate the completion of a $3 million exterior lighting installation at Jackson Houses.
I'm proud to have secured the funding for these 132 new fixtures across walkways, common areas, and building entrances for the families who call Jackson Houses home.
Home fires kill more people every year than all other major disasters combined, and a working smoke alarm cuts that risk in half.
@FDNY and @RedCrossNY are bringing FREE smoke alarm installs to the Bronx on June 13.

At an Axios event, @RepRitchie urged the Senate to pass the House version of the 21st Century Road to Housing Act, warning the Senate proposal could make “build-to-rent” housing “[not] financeable and therefore unbuildable.”

“We need people to invest in the creation of affordable housing in America,” he said.

Trump sued the government he controls, settled with himself, and billed taxpayers nearly $1.8 billion for it. That money funds a slush fund with no independent oversight, potentially paying out to Jan. 6 insurrectionists and his political allies. It was signed by his own former defense lawyer.
Then, buried in a hyperlink the next day, without telling Congress, they added one more thing: the IRS is permanently barred from auditing Trump, his family, and his businesses. A president granted himself lifetime immunity from tax enforcement. This from someone who bragged on a debate stage that not paying federal income taxes "makes me smart."
If you tried this, you'd be in prison. Trump gets $1.8 billion and permanent immunity. A complete perversion of justice.
Barney Frank was a giant. As the first openly gay member of Congress to come out on his own terms, he paved the road for LGBTQ+ members like me and my @EqualityCaucus colleagues.
He leaves behind an extraordinary legislative legacy. As chairman of @USHouseFSC, he led the fight for the Dodd-Frank Act, reshaping American finance and protecting millions of consumers.
We lost a true trailblazer today. Rest in peace, Congressman.
Yesterday, three people were murdered at a mosque in San Diego on one of the holiest days in Islam. This is a vile and despicable act of hate, and I refuse to accept a country where worshippers cannot gather in peace without fearing for their lives. My heart is with the victims, their families, and every Muslim American who woke up afraid today.
From shelter to homeowner in one year, Daquan Perry is an inspiration to the Bronx.
Proud to represent people like him. Thank you @BronxNHSCDC for the life-changing work you do for the people of our beautiful borough.

The path to 2029 service for Penn Station Access is achievable but only with the complete cooperation of Amtrak.
The time has come for Amtrak to rise to the occasion and ensure that NY and CT taxpayers are not left holding the bill for delays.
