Here’s the deal: organ donors have to be alive to donate organs. Organ harvesters will often tell your family you’re “brain dead” in order to get them to sign off on your organ removal if you’re a donor… but there’s no such thing as “brain dead.” They literally made that up. Usually they give you paralytics so your family thinks you’re not coming back. That’s why there was recently the case of the guy that “woke up” just as his organs were about to be harvested- the paralytics wore off early. And his family had to fight to get them to stop- the harvester team wanted to proceed anyway… because their patients are always alive. You just don’t know that.
