Eighty-two years ago, Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy and began the liberation of Europe from Nazi tyranny. We honor the courage and sacrifice of the heroes of D-Day and the Greatest Generation who changed the course of history.
This chart tells you all you need to know about @POTUS's three straight months of job growth. The President and @HouseGOP are not just growing the labor market (+903K private sector jobs since Trump took office), but bringing back the right jobs. Jobs that made our country the greatest in the world. The kind of jobs that allow any and every American to start a family and raise children right where they grew up. Real jobs for real Americans.
The House passed the FY27 Agriculture Appropriations bill, and Montana’s farmers and ranchers came out ahead. This bill invests $4.8 million in rural infrastructure across our district, helps keep Montana farmland out of the hands of foreign adversaries, and strengthens the research and food safety programs our producers rely on. This bill will ensure the folks in our state who work the land and put food on America’s tables have the tools they need to keep doing what they do best.
Montana infrastructure funding included in the bills:
⚫️Sanders County, $5,000,000 – Noxon Bridge Replacement Phase II
⚫️Missoula County, $1,000,000 – Seeley Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant Project Phase II
⚫️Flathead County, $1,000,000 – Lakeside Wastewater System Improvement Project Phase 1
⚫️Flathead County, $1,000,000 – Bigfork County Sewer District West Trunk Sewer Project
⚫️Lake County, $1,500,000 – Charlo Water and Sewer District Wastewater Lagoon Rehabilitation
⚫️Flathead County, $1,500,000 – Evergreen Flood Resiliency and Groundwater Quality Improvements
⚫️Missoula County, $1,750,000 – Lolo Wastewater Well Upgrades Phase 2
⚫️Granite County, $1,750,000 – Granite County Clean Water Infrastructure Project Phase 2
⚫️Ravalli County $500,000 – Ravalli County Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase II
⚫️Ravalli County, $500,000 – Old Corvallis Road Repair Phase II
⚫️Butte-Silver Bow County, $2,000,000 – Critical Minerals Extraction Advancements by Montana Tech
$17.5M in Montana community project funding supporting critical water and transportation infrastructure is moving forward in the House Interior and THUD appropriations bills. Other Montana priorities like ESA reform, affordable housing, and tribal safety are also front and center in these bills as they head to the floor for a vote.
It’s always a pleasure to meet with the Montana Stockgrowers Association. Montana ranchers feed our country and keep our rural communities strong, but right now they are dealing with some dangerous foreign parasites threatening their livestock. In Congress, I’ll keep advocating for them and make sure Montana herds stay healthy.
Happy America the Beautiful Week Montana. To celebrate a song that highlights the natural wonders of our great country, I thought I would share some scenes from the road in the Treasure State. Montana the beautiful.
Memorial Day calls us to come together and remember the brave Americans who gave everything in defense of our nation. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we cherish and shaped the country we are blessed to call home. May God bless our fallen heroes and the families who mourn them.
Congratulations to Brian Gootkin on his confirmation as U.S. Marshal for Montana. Brian has spent decades serving Montana with integrity and dedication in law enforcement, and I know he will continue that service with distinction in this new role. I look forward to working with him to keep Montana safe.
In honor of National EMS Week, I want to highlight the bipartisan Air Medical Caucus, which I co-launched this March with @RepJillTokuda. The caucus will support air medical providers in Montana and across the nation by bridging the gap between remote communities and critical medical care. These crews save lives, and Congress needs to have their back.
Wednesday mornings are for Montana Coffee. The whole delegation shows up, and so can you, as Montana Coffee is open to every Montanan visiting the nation's capital. Contact my office to RSVP. We would love to have you!
When every second counts, Montana’s EMS providers answer the call. Across our state, they travel long distances and tough terrain to deliver lifesaving care. Thank you to the Treasure State first responders who keep our communities safe.
Great news!
After 11 years, the @usabmc has officially relaunched its flower program, allowing people to send floral arrangements to the graves of fallen soldiers buried overseas.
This project started more than two years ago when a few concerned families of veterans walked into my office. Through bipartisan cooperation, we were able to work through appropriations to see funding directed to this program.
Now, soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for freedom far from home will once again be able to be honored and remembered by the country they served.
To send an arrangement, check out their website linked here.

Today is Peace Officers Memorial Day, and we have had many heroes who have given their lives in the line of duty in Montana. If you are near Deer Lodge or Kalispell this afternoon, stop by a Peace Officers Memorial Day ceremony to pay your respects to Montana's fallen law enforcement officers. The Old Montana Prison Museum will host a ceremony at noon, and the Flathead County Fairgrounds Expo Building will host a ceremony at 1 PM.
Conservation easements are a great tool when used correctly and this is a perfect example. Almost $3 million of these funds will go to tripling the size of Herron Park in Kalispell, creating connectivity with the popular Foy’s to Blacktail Trail and keeping it accessible as the Flathead population grows. It will also support forestry in the area, limiting wildfire risk and supporting the local logging economies. It’s a win, win, win, and a great example of multi-use management of our public lands coming from the USDA.
I always enjoy speaking with my friends at the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation. Today, we discussed my two wildlife crossing bills and what they could do to protect big game and drivers across Montana and the U.S. I appreciate their continued support for these pieces of legislation and of sportsmen.
It’s Wednesday in Washington, which means Montana Coffee is on with our full delegation. All Montanans are welcome, so next time you’re in D.C., contact my office to RSVP and come by for a cup.
Last week, two grizzly bear attacks claimed the life of a hiker in Glacier National Park and seriously injured two others in Yellowstone National Park. These tragedies are a sobering reminder that grizzly bear populations have recovered well beyond sustainable levels, and it is past time for the federal government to delist them and give states the management tools they need to protect both people and wildlife. Delist the grizzly.
Big wins for Montana aviation infrastructure.
I am happy to announce that over $25 million in FAA Airport Improvement Program grants are headed to airports in Hamilton, Deer Lodge, Missoula, West Yellowstone, Polson, and Bozeman. These projects will upgrade runways, taxiways, lighting, and safety systems, improving reliability and extending the life of critical airfields across the state.
