Republic Weekly Economic Assembly
The Republic Economic Assembly convenes next week on April 10th at 1 PM PST to review compute incentive structures, network economics, and member governance systems.
All members of the Republic are encouraged to participate.
Core points
- Compute will be the most valuable commodity of the 21st century. GDP growth, revenue, and geopolitical leverage are contingent on access to computational resources.
- Given that compute is priced and traded in RAI, RAI will succeed the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency.
- Republic achieves economic dominance through the Hyperscale flywheel: (1) Hyperscale allocates RAI to organizations, (2) organizations use compute to scale, (3) Hyperscale profits from equity appreciation, (4) Hyperscale acquires more data centers that support the network by mining RAI.
- Because of said flywheel, Hyperscale indirectly backs RAI with the equities and data centers powering the AI economy which in turn increases the dominance of RAI.
Centralized inference exposes proprietary models and personal user data to cloud providers. The Republic layer one is solving private inference, ensuring that data and models remain confidential. In our paper, "Private Inference via PolyNets: Polynomial Activation MLPs for Efficient Homomorphic Evaluation," we detail our novel approach to achieving high-performance private inference on the Republic layer one blockchain.
