If republicans really wanted to win they would have prosecuted the Epstein class, ended or never started the war in Iran, refused funding from AIPAC, kept gas prices low, ended the war in Ukraine, withdrawn from NATO, not tried to bribe Americans with $5K in socialist checks, not alienated revered leaders like MTG and Massie, not ended investigations into Kirk assassination or Butler attempt on the President, not appointed and then refused to fire Kash Patel, not kept 90 percent of the same people in intelligence that were there during the Biden administration, ended insider trading, brought justice to Fauci and the vaccine class, held China accountable for covid instead of inviting half a million of their spies to study at our universities, ended h1b visas, reduced inflation, passed a balanced budget instead of record spending, drained the swap, eradicated the deep state, or deported more illegals than Obama.

But they didn’t do any of those things.

Anyone who blames me or other conservative voters for republicans losing the midterms can f*ck all the way off.

Max has spent roughly two decades reporting critically on Israel, and told Tucker the detention followed his latest reporting trip to Iran.

"The Trump administration [has] gotten heavy with me over my reporting. I was arrested on false charges that were dropped quickly, during the first Trump term. I spent a couple days in DC jail over bogus charged, my house was essentially raided, the police surrounded my house, and took me to jail.

I wish I'd had legal representation that encouraged me to sue at that time.

It started to all make sense once I saw what they were doing: Israel is in charge now, and they want a crackdown. They want to criminalize activism and even journalism, that contravenes their objectives."

That context makes the unanswered part impossible to ignore: was this routine border scrutiny after travel to Iran, or was something about Max’s journalism specifically under examination?
