Tonight the House passed the War Powers Resolution to hold the Administration accountable for this unconstitutional, immoral and costly forever war that no American wants. According to the Constitution: The President does not have the authority to declare war. That authority rests solely with Congress.

Our friends and family are dying in an illegal war that has cost Americans 50 billion dollars. People are going hungry and losing their homes over rising costs and instead of addressing these issues, the Administration slaps them with a bill for a war they have no exit plan for.

Enough is enough.

Yesterday @RonWyden and I had the honor of presenting Lieutenant Colonel David Gauntlett a Bronze Star with a V. During his service in Vietnam, he manned a radio Jeep and was the only source of communication for air support during an attack. His bravery saved lives.

This medal is long overdue. In over 50 years of service to the military, Dave demonstrated great courage and patriotism.

Sending a huge congratulations to the Eugene Emergency Physicians on their hard-earned contract with PeaceHealth.

We won this battle in Oregon but there’s no national law that prohibits the corporate ownership and practice of medicine. That needs to change. @OregonNurses

May is Wildfire Awareness Month. Here's what you can do to prepare for wildfire season: 

- Don’t leave a campfire while it’s hot. Douse your fire with water until it’s cold to the touch 
- Never put vehicles on hot grass and ALWAYS have a bucket, fire extinguisher and shovel on hand🧯 
- Use interactive maps to track nearby fires and air quality 
- Keep equipment that creates sparks FAR away from dry greenery and anything flammable
