Congressman Eugene Vindman

Father, Husband, Veteran | Congressman proudly representing Virginia’s Seventh District

Former Army JAG here. No quarter orders are a violation of the law of war and Geneva conventions.

This is the same order reportedly given during the Caribbean boat strikes. @SecWar is establishing a pattern of issuing illegal orders.

I’ve trained hundreds of soldiers on the law of war — our service members have an obligation to follow that law.

[Acyn @Acyn]

Hegseth: No quarter, no mercy for our enemies. Yet some in the press just can't stop. More fake news from CNN reports that the Trump administration underestimated the Iran war's impact on the strait of hormuz. The sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better.

[Congressman Eugene Vindman @RepVindman]

Secretary Hegseth told me himself that the Department of Defense prepared for every possible outcome of going to war with Iran.

@POTUS and @SecWar knew exactly what could happen. They chose this path anyway.

Eight months later, our troops are still paying the price for a war they chose to start without a plan to finish.

[Congressman Eugene Vindman @RepVindman]

Families are already paying too much for groceries. The last thing they need is for stores to use their personal information to charge them even more.

The price of milk, eggs, and bread shouldn't depend on who's buying them.

I'm introducing legislation to crack down on invasive pricing practices, protect consumers' privacy, and ensure hardworking Americans get a fair price at checkout.

Rey from my team joined Stafford High School for its Centennial Homecoming Football Game.

I’m honored to recognize Stafford High School’s century-long legacy by commemorating this milestone in the Congressional Record.

Here’s to another 100 years of excellence, school spirit, and shaping the next generation of leaders.

On Monday, I visited DroneTrace to learn more about their work in drone research and the innovative technologies shaping this rapidly evolving field.

As drones play an increasingly important role in our national security and economy, it’s great to see the cutting-edge work happening right here in VA-07.

Thank you to the DroneTrace team for taking the time to share your work and insights with me!

I’m proud to announce $4.7 million in grants supporting educational programs in more than 90 national parks across the country — including right here in Virginia.

Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park will use these funds to help students visit our national parks, connect with park rangers, and learn about the history and natural beauty of our public lands.

Investments like these help ensure students have the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.

Live-streaming an execution is a disgrace to our country and the values we stand for.

That’s why I introduced legislation to make sure that NEVER happens on American soil.

On Tuesday, I was glad to join @SenTimKaine, @RepSuhas, and community leaders for the Washington Manassas Airport's new air traffic control tower groundbreaking!

Airports like this one support local jobs, connect businesses, and help drive our regional economy.

I'm looking forward to the day I can make a short drive to Manassas and hop on a commercial flight in the near future!

Data centers must pay their fair share of electricity costs instead of passing the burden onto hardworking families and small businesses.

I'm leading legislation to make that happen ⬇️

The best fuel aid? Stop pouring money into a war with Iran that’s driving up costs for American families and farmers.

Trump can’t keep fueling a costly war of choice, picking fights with our trading partners, and then ask taxpayers to foot the bill for the fallout.

End the war. End the trade fights. Lower costs for hardworking American families now.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending a service at Beulah Baptist Church in Woodford and spending time with the congregation.

Thank you to Reverend Dr. Lee for delivering a powerful message of unity, and to Mr. Braswell and the entire Beulah Baptist Church family for the warm welcome.

[Congressman Eugene Vindman @RepVindman]

It was great to attend the inaugural Celebra Prince William Fest!

What a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the rich Latino culture, traditions, and heritage that help make Prince William County such a special place to call home. ¡Gracias, Prince William!

The proposed merger between NextEra Energy and Dominion Energy would raise electricity prices for consumers.

🚨I joined @SenWarren and @RepSuhas in warning the FERC that this merger could leave ratepayers footing the bill while the enlarged company delays critical grid upgrades and evades federal scrutiny.

Virginians shouldn’t have to pay higher electricity bills to subsidize the massive energy demands of data centers.

That’s why I introduced the Make Data Centers Pay Act.

We must ensure that billion-dollar corporations pay their fair share instead of passing the costs on to Virginia ratepayers.

Today, I joined a bipartisan, bicameral small group meeting with President Zelenskyy.

One thing was clear: outrage over Trump’s decision to make it easier for Russia to finance its brutal war against Ukraine crosses party lines.

My colleagues and I may disagree on plenty, but we agree that the United States should be tightening sanctions on Putin and helping Ukraine defend civilians, not rewarding him as Russian missiles continue to rain down on Ukraine.

Every concession to Putin without accountability only emboldens his aggression.

Trump is shamefully and dishonorably sustaining Putin’s brutal war, with devastating consequences for our allies in Ukraine, NATO, and American credibility.

My colleagues on both sides of the aisle must speak out, stand together, and demand that this administration stop this betrayal.

Political intimidation has no place in our democracy, and it will not deter me from doing my job and serving the people of Virginia's Seventh District.

I was honored to meet so many federal employees at the NARFE Chapter 1270 luncheon.

These are dedicated public servants who have spent their careers serving our country, supporting our communities, and keeping our government running.

Thank you for your service and for all you do!

Thank you to the students and faculty at the Dahlgren School for such a warm welcome last week!

I enjoyed sharing a little about my military service, answering thoughtful questions, and seeing firsthand the curiosity and enthusiasm these students bring to the classroom.

Our next generation of leaders has a bright future ahead, and I can't wait to see all they accomplish!
