@ProfJamieC I guess the debate in my head is whether student research projects always have to achieve the higher ethical standard of giving back to participants or whether absence of negative impact is acceptable as a learning exercise.
@ProfJamieC In my experience practitioner research carried out by part time (UG/PG) students can achieve that ethical standard because they can use it to identify action plans which they can then implement in their workplace. FT students rarely have that opportunity.
I've spent a fabulous week with these lot training them up on Twitter. I always feel sad when they finish as I don't get to see them next week.
A great group thank you @ChesterCWRS @_leoniethomas@ResCascade#TwitterWorkshop#TwitterTraining

@ProfJamieC Online is currently a better option than face to face with social distancing for some activities eg getting students to create Rich Data Pictures together.
@ProfJamieC Lots! I’m using Whiteboard to collaborate with students and draw out their ideas/ questions on a topic (you can effectively recreate gathering and clustering post-it notes on a big white board in the classroom). I’ve managed to run a Synectics creative ‘excursion’ online too. 1/2
A fascinating presentation - particularly the example exploring how to “trace affect” through “multiple channels” in empirical research. Still thinking about these ideas. Thanks for organising this event @emm_bel @bam_ac_uk
Just watched this again and Lucinda’s laugh is so joyful. Love that she says again before you’ve finished! Tiny Tunes with #Makaton continues @wesleycentre over the school holidays on Fridays at 11am.
