📣 New @RESCEU#paper
👉For the first time, costs and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) effects associated with RSV in healthy term infants and their caregivers in a community setting in four European countries have been evaluated.

Our research highlights the significant cost and HRQoL losses associated with RSV. These findings can help quantify the disease burden of RSV and inform future decision-making regarding interventions to protect young children from this disease.
📣 New @RESCEU#paper on #RSV monoclonal antibody and maternal immunization in 6 European countries suggests seasonal programme with or without catch-up could be cost-effective or even cost-saving.

The choice between a maternal immunization or monoclonal antibodies depends on the level and duration of protection, price, availability and age-specific RSV-attributable hospitalizations in very young children, which should be based on the latest available evidence.

But we found important differences on non-medically attended symptomatic RSV burden and waning immunity. These aspects need more attention in future trials and analyses.
👇
#RSV is in the headlines, with cases rising across Europe. IMI project @RESCEUproject shed new light on the burden of RSV, knowledge that could improve how the disease is managed, treated (and hopefully prevented) in the future.
