ResearchGains is currently conducting a national security survey and would like to get the public opinion on the different security challenges faced by Nigerians.
The survey aims to examine Nigerians’ awareness of national security challenges, the extent to which they have been affected, and their perceptions of government efforts to maintain peace. It also invites respondents to propose practical solutions for improving national security.
Four separate surveys address key security concerns in Nigeria: kidnapping, banditry, Boko Haram, and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) operated by IPOB.
Respondents are encouraged to complete any survey relevant to their direct or indirect experiences.

For millions of Nigerian households, cooking is no longer a given. That's what the data is really saying.

Nigeria's healthcare market is growing — but the gaps tell the bigger story.
The Healthcare Sector projected to hit $161.7M by 2027 at 7.1% growth, backed by a $1.2B Federal Ministry investment in infrastructure & workforce.
Yet 70% of Nigerians still pay for healthcare out-of-pocket.
Nigeria also leads West Africa's medical device market — $414.8M (2025) → $632.5M by 2030 (8.56% CAGR).
Investment is coming. Coverage hasn't caught up.
🎓 2,243,816 Nigerians registered for the 2026 UTME.
That's a 10.5% increase from 2025 — and nearly 1.9 million results are already out.
Nigeria has 309 universities for over 2.2 million candidates. The gap between ambition and access is the real story.
@NigEducation A solid step in the right direction.
If properly implemented, this could significantly improve access to verified academic data and reduce long-standing bottlenecks in research and credential validation.
Now the focus should be on consistency.

@OGSG_Official@DapoAbiodunCON Ogun State's ₦10,000 inflation allowance sounds like relief — but with petrol at ₦1,200+/litre and food prices still elevated, the data question is: how far does ₦10,000 actually go in 2026? #ResearchGains
Nigeria’s shift to fully digital academic credential verification isn’t just a policy update—it’s a data moment.
As institutions now send transcripts directly and verification moves online, we’re seeing a clear push toward:
Structured academic data

@Nairametrics 20% of global oil supply runs through the Strait of Hormuz. With Brent now at $101.91/barrel, Nigeria — an oil exporter — faces a paradox: rising crude revenues but brutal pump prices for citizens. The data on net impact will be telling. #ResearchGains
@Nairametrics Dangote's $40B expansion plan — backed by a $2.5B Afreximbank facility — will reshape Nigeria's trade balance & job market. Private capital at this scale is data worth watching. #ResearchGains
@Nairametrics ₦1,350/litre in April 2026. Before subsidy removal it was ₦185/litre. That's a 629% increase in under 3 years. The data on how this filters into food prices, transport costs & household income is the real conversation Nigeria needs.

On #WorldHealthDay, here's Nigeria's health data reality:
Nigeria has just 2.9 doctors per 10,000 people — WHO recommends 17.
In 2024, Nigerian states spent only 61.9% of their allocated health budgets — and the average spent per person was just ₦3,483.
93.47M Nigerians were registered to vote — only 24.9M showed up in 2023.
That's a 26.72% turnout, the lowest since 1999.
Now, INEC's voter revalidation exercise (set for April 13) has been suspended amid timing concerns.
