Lots of questions about #PoaAnnua control this time of year, often on UDB greens. Plenty of good treatments in this trial and some that haven't met the challenge. #PicOfTheMonth for February @UTturfgrass
2nd to last app in 2-yr study comparing spring v. fall v. both apps of @PoaCure & cumyluron. Thus far, fall apps are most important for either herbicide. Two timely apps/yr of PoaCure (1.2 oz) or cumyluron (3 or 6 oz) all that’s needed when initial Poa populations are low (<10%).
3 new annual bluegrass videos are live on our YouTube. Go check them out! One tests a popular anti-dandruff shampoo as a POST option. https://t.co/nfFa7cS60v
Check out our video on late season POST Poa control. This includes 3 different carrier rates of Glufosinate and others. Must watch for those with Poa outbreaks this spring, wondering what to do. https://t.co/4Kzn0Ngrc7
Learn from @VTTurfweeds, Ph.D., as he provides both chemical and cultural control strategies for Poa annua. #PBIGordonTurf#GCSAA https://t.co/LMMWFaSlKp
Cryogenic treatments work, even on cold adapted weeds such as Poa. This is 6 days after treatment of liquid nitrogen at 10, 20, or 30 mls. With an engineered application system, I may be able to go lower than 10 mls.
Highlights from a recent @ResistPoa study (led by @dervin_env) regarding lawn care operator insights on contemporary challenges with weed management were featured in this month's @lawnlandscape. Read the L&L article here: https://t.co/RP201PD2mm
Congratulations to @jbunruh as this year's recipient of the GCSAA President's Award for Environmental Stewardship. The @FGCSA knows first hand how instrumental he has been in the development and expansion of Golf BMPs in FL and the country. @GCSAA https://t.co/KSuhJVD2Sd
