On April 30, CDR’s Berylwood Head Start Center in Simi Valley celebrated Dia del Niño (Children’s Day) with a special book reading.

Berylwood Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Palmer, read to the classroom from the book titled, Book Fiesta, a bilingual picture book by Pat Mora.

CDR’s Early Head Start Peer Reflection monthly meetings provides staff with a safe space to share experiences, brainstorm, and discuss ways to apply best practices to their work. They recently held their first gathering of 2026 with an activity of wellness painting.💫🖼️❤️

Last Tues night, Rio Lindo Head Start Center in #Oxnard hosted Family Nights. This gathering is held every other month and allows staff and parents to get the latest update on their child’s progress at Head Start. Family Nights helps build that home to school connection.
