Fabulous views from the top of the Nut - seen it many times myself. What a tragedy it would be if this vista were to be ruined by a windfarm at the northern tip of this peninsula.
@nic_higgins @TassieThinker We do know with Robbins Island there’s currently an application in with the federal minister seeking to stop Robbins Island as it is so important to the north west aboriginal community. We await the minister Leys decision.
"While other states increase protections for communities & iconic landscapes, Tasmania lags... remaining wide open to desecration of our landscapes & special places with energy infrastructure.
Where are the 'no-go zones'?"

@cleannrgcouncil@kanethornton@thelandnews If Tasmania @GuyBarnett followed the example of other states and established suitable no-go zones for our special landscapes and communities we would have greater clarity for developers and communities, reducing conflict.
@cleannrgcouncil@kanethornton@thelandnews “If we get our policy settings right…”. Tasmania should follow the lead of other states to ensure it has ‘no-go zones’ for the renewables infrastructure that is coming. ‘No-go zones’ will bring clarity to developers and community and reduce conflict. Simple.
The National Party has some decisions to make. Net-zero and the clean energy transition means jobs and growth for rural Australians.
