Thank you so much to everyone who came to @ResponderCon! We had such a fantastic time, and we're so grateful to everyone who made it possible. Thank you to the staff for putting on such a great event and to everyone who came from all over the world to attend.
@uuallan@ResponderCon Good presentation. This is telling - and worrying : "It appears we are entering the next phase of ransomware which will be dominated by smaller groups, often more difficult to track down."
@binaryz0ne@ResponderCon@TheDFIRReport We’re humbled 🙏
If there is anything specific that people would like to see from our cases, will be happy to consider submitting a talk for next one.
Great talk by @brianjmoran & @carrier4n6 at @ResponderCon on their new #DFIR ransomware project to help the community identify & understand #ransomware
If you work on ransomware cases, check it out & contribute where you can, so we can all get better

@uuallan@ResponderCon We are seeing this happen actually. The power lies with the group that has access. As affiliates become more skilled, they will have a options as to which Ransomware group they partner with. I won’t be surprised if we see a ransomware partnership auction place in the future
I want to thank the team at @ResponderCon for a grays conference and this really fun mug which reminds me:
Make sure you include how you are going to feed your incident responders in in your ransomware planning!
The first slide of my @ResponderCon presentation (technically, 4th after title and intro slides) is simply that:
“Have there been more ransomware attacks in 2022 than 2021?”
Honestly, I could probably spend my whole talk debating that with attendees.
📣"Have Fun with It!: Tracking Ransomware Operator Lateral Movement and Recovering Deleted Files the Easy Way!"
Ryan will be covering two open source tools at #RespondersCon 2022. Register now and don't miss out!
