HOT TAKE: Players need to hold creators and console publishers accountable for any major or minor issues in their games, if those games and console are gonna continue increasing in prices and development times🚀
Players love to say “graphics don’t matter” but buying a $500-700 console (now closer to $900) and a $70 (or even $80-100) game should mean a certain level of quality and standards are to be expected.
It isn’t just about graphics, but higher standards for game design overall.
We also need a new standard to measure game quality, rather than just budget:
Design elements like these should disqualify
❌Having me do fetch quests and chasing collectibles for tens of hours
❌Cutscenes with wooden performances, no mo-cap, and just talking without much going on
❌Assets that look 1-2 generations behind, masquerading as “art style”
❌Repetitive quests
❌Noticeable and game-breaking glitches
❌Microtransactions that are used to speed up progress if proven that trying to earn them by gameplay is deliberately made difficult to promote buying time savers
None of those should qualify a game for full pricing, and should even be grounds for refunds if not clearly advertised beforehand.
And this is not about punishing smaller predictions, on the contrary, this is about punishing AAA for wanting to cut corners and pass off an inferior creation as a superior one using only graphics or one or two half-decent elements to sell them for $70.
So do we “own” or games or do we not?🚀
Sony has become a total laughingstock for the industry. They’re trying to play with words to prove a point that supports their egomaniac execs but failing miserably😅
@xMBGx Sony’s corporate greed stems directly from its CFO background: ex-CFO Hiroki Totoki & current CFO Lin Tao. Two Excel-obsessed bean counters with zero gaming sense who sacrificed PlayStation for profit margins. Boycott these two clueless CFOs. Fire them!
After careful consideration, I’m DONE with PlayStation beyond this generation.
You have ruined your brand beyond recognition and you don’t deserve a cent from me, not an ounce of the good will you once had.
Hideo Kojima is worth more than all your IPs and your leadership combined.
If a company takes away access to something you paid for, they should be legally required to refund you. If you can take away what I paid for, I should be able to take my money back. It’s that simple. Good Night (wish you a terrible night @PlayStation)

Reminder that the only way to access PlayStation games from PS1-PS3 generations is through these methods🚀
✅Physical discs on PS3
✅PS Plus Premium (a very small selection)
✅PS3/Vita store (shutting down in stages by July 2027)
Unless a studio develops a remaster or a remake, or PS+ expands their library (likely never will, since it’s been heard with an abysmal collection) most of those games are completely lost without the original console and physical copies
In addition, per Sony’s terms, an account would can be shut down after 3 years of being inactive, meaning even the “license” you buy, expires if you had 3 years of absence.
This is the “digital future” that Sony’s egomaniac overlords want for you, the same ones who:
✅Delivered nothing of value this generation
✅Wasted studios’ time on live service
✅The whole push for live service failed
✅Studios were shut down
✅Now they’re cutting corners by taking away your sense of ownership
Their execs fail upwards and sabotage gamers and studios to pay for their failure.
That’s why we need to keep up the pressure

@NerosCinema@CallofDuty Infinity Ward needs to be shelved. Anyone bitching about the state of treyarch need to remember they’ve done either ranked play or zombies for the other studios since vanguard and had to develop 2 games back to back while infinity ward gets 4 uninterrupted years and still fails.
I love the fact that Sony is demonstrating just how terrible their all-digital future is, by themselves, so that no one would have any doubt😅🚀

The video game industry is the only industry where a huge portion of players will actively advocate for their own worst interest🚀
Sony and Rockstar aren’t alone to blame, but also those acting like players pushing back against their predatory policy are “the enemy” or something.
✅You were ok with MTX
✅You were ok with studios taking pieces out of games were sold to you separately as DLC
✅You were ok with games being released unfinished and unpolished, and waiting from 1-6 months for fixes and patches
✅And now many of you are ok with getting rid of ownership and being at the mercy of storefronts, licensing, network outages and removals without compensation
✅And now they’re trying to push streaming-only gaming, and some of you will be okay with it, because your enslavement to Rockstar and Sony is too big, or you’re too much of a casual/tourist to actually value gaming as an art form
What other industry is ok with this?
❓Are you ok with a car that doesn’t have its full features and requires you to wait months?
❓Are you ok buying your refrigerator in pieces, for separate prices?
❓Are you ok with your clothes or medicine or TV screen being taken away at any time when a license expires?
Gaming has been ruined when it became more mainstream, because it was invaded by too many casuals who have zero value for gaming as an art form and understand nothing about culture and other forms of art and how they continue to be preserved through physical media despite the existence of a far more convenient and cost effective digital alternative

We are watching the collapse of gaming and utter disrespect of players and the craft in real time, and we’re being gaslit to think it isn’t happening or that it’s somehow a good thing🚀
🗣️Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick argues that physical game discs make no sense for consumers
🗣️He also predicts that game streaming will be more commercial/mainstream in about 3 years due to the increasing prices of consoles and PC (Did he forget Stadia???)
So hear me out:
✅PCs and consoles became more expensive due to data centers
✅Now they want you to rent out data centers instead of the hardware that data centers caused to be overpriced
The same way they push physical games away:
❌We had was a box with a disc, a manual, a map and maybe another game’s demo
❌Then they took the items, then the map
❌And then they started making the game on disc require download or always being connected even for some single player games
❌Then they started counting DLC, MTX, free-to-play and digital only to inflate digital sales statistics and make it seem like physical games aren’t in demand, when even %10 is still million of people
❌Now they wanna take away disc, and to give you a code n the box, while the prices keep rising, while value and options keeps declining
This is their next step to making you own nothing, lock you into their ecosystem so you can remain subscribed and paying for their slop forever.
They will gaslight you into thinking “downloading games makes no sense, streaming is the way!”
Just like how the hypocrite argues physical games are like vinyl records and that “Sony knows better” when Sony themselves are marketing vinyl record players are the best way to listen to music and vinyl record sales are so high that artists release many variants to boost their album to No.1
And it’s crazy that gaming is the medium that needs physical media the most, as it’s the most demanding in terms of downloads and streaming compared to music, film, books and shows, all of which are far easier to access via download or streaming for a long time.
And as usual, gaming is the one industry where the customer is always assumed to be “wrong, entitled and toxic” and treated like children and expected to spend like adults, and also expected to worry about profits for CEOs, studio closures, and basically everything but their own best interest.
Enough is enough!
Stand up for your own self interest, before it’s too late for any meaningful change to happen.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says physical discs "don't really make sense" for big games like GTA 6
“Our business is well over 90% digitally distributed. It's already a digital business. So in certain instances, especially if it's a big game, discs just — note I said discs — don't really make sense for the consumer.
Translation: „we want to scam you out of your money, you having no rights, no second hand market“
Once again, since some big names are trying to echo this lie🚀
✅People STILL buy music on vinyl, CD and even cassettes that actually work, and singers release variants of those to boost sales amd chart at No.1
✅People STILL buy movies and shows on Blu-Ray, in various editions
✅People STILL buy books in print
All despite the existence of the digital and streaming alternative, and much more cost effective and convenient than physical. Yet people go for physical to this day.
So no. Video games don’t need to end physical media, because the demand is there and the “statistics” are disingenuously engineered to include DLC, MTX, free-to-play and digital only into them to inflate the numbers.
They want to:
✅Start a monopoly
✅Eliminate second hand market
✅Raise prices on a whim
✅End player ownership
✅Take away your games at any time
✅Likely make you repurchase new editions
✅Eventually lock them into a subscription ecosystem
And therefore we say

Kaz Hirai, former chairman, CEO and president of Sony bowed down to apologize for the 24 day PlayStation blackout in 2011, which was an attack, not their own fault🚀
And now, it took them 30 days to issue a vague statement that boils down to “we have carefully considered ‘strong’ reactions but screw you antway”
Crazy to see how far Sony has fallen off, from this level of respecting players to whatever they are now.
Stop funding people that don’t respect you and only see you as a number, especially when their output is as abysmal and as overpriced as this generation.
