✅ FACT CHECKED: RVB doesn't support the Mar Vista Neighbors United slate because it takes no position on Venice Blvd. + slate members Drew Reusch & Stacey Greenwald have voted against Venice Blvd motions that withheld support for extending the road diet.

RVB members don't need no letter because we are all genuine live/work/own stakeholders of our respective Westside NCs. And you'll need to look elsewhere for those recall folks.
✅ FACT CHECKED: RVB opposes the Mar Vista Progress slate endorsed by Streets for All. S4A lobbied @PalmsNC, @SORONC & @DelReyNeighbor for the extended road diet & stacked meetings to feign support for the project.

The #ROADIET was the most detrimental part of the Great Streets Venice Blvd "pilot" project. Taking a lane away from busy Venice Blvd. has done harm to our entire community. Now LADOT is going to do it all again! Click to learn more & get involved! https://t.co/3JtPJAX2l6
‼️MEETING TOMORROW 11/2: LADOT is scheduled to come back to the MVCC T,I&S Committee tomorrow evening to give an updated presentation on next steps for the Venice Blvd. Mobility Improvements project. Learn more & get Zoom link here: https://t.co/802qVCv6co
Hey Mar Vista & Palms stakeholders, LADOT is headed to the MVCC T,I&S Committee meeting tonight at 6 PM (agenda: https://t.co/Bpl5OXxDCY) & the PNC General Board meeting tonight at 7 PM (agenda https://t.co/tOV49wPmZ3.) Those that can go, please do!
On their website, they don't disclose their organization status. All they say is they have a steering committee. They sure are doing a lot of lobbying with the City Council & local NCs. They even sent someone who said she worked for them to a 7/9/20 Palms NC committee meeting.
@RestoreVeniceBl All of our funding information is available at https://t.co/7JlOWLLUat, just like any other committee. Also, the ballot measure was Healthy Streets LA, a separate committee, which also has information available at https://t.co/7JlOWLLUat :)
👀 Look at this is the special interest group pushing this project. Who are they, really? They say they're "just volunteers"...who paid people up to $40/hr to gather signatures for their ballot measure. Ballot measures cost 100's of 1,000's of dollars. Who's funding them?

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend and we'll be back Tuesday with more Action Items.
These kids get it!
In LA, 78% of commuters drive, 10% carpool, 6% take public transit, 3.7 % walk & 1.1% bike. But special interests lobby for #roaddiets instead of more carpooling, working from home & making public transit faster, cleaner & safer.

They don't care what neighbors here need: 3 travel lanes; cars parked at the curb; a conventional or buffered bike lane adjacent to travel lanes. Neighbors support a peak hour bus lane to Lincoln Blvd using the parking lane in exchange for previously removed street parking.
