Meet Kristen Helm, who just started a job with the High Plains Library District Friends & Foundation in Greeley, Colorado. It is a nonprofit, but it works closely with the public library district.

Yesterday she posted a dancing meme mocking Charlie Kirk, one year after his assassination. That video is a stark contrast to one she posted at the beginning of this month honoring Suicide Prevention Month.

That is not principle. That is hypocrisy, mourning suicide in the abstract while cheering the death of a political opponent.

The HPLD Friends & Foundation exists to support programs and resources for the High Plains Library District in Northern Colorado. The Bridgewater-Raritan Board sent a warning to parents at tonight’s meeting that OPRA requests have “consequences for our students” and trying to pin the increase on a board member they have been targeting.
Then they refused to say who. Then they refused to recognize the question.

OPRA requests happen because this board will not give straight answers in public. Parents file when the official process is a timer, a deflection, and a lecture.

I have filed requests myself. Nobody coached me. I did it because I have a right to the records.

If you are going to accuse a colleague of driving public records requests, name them. If you will not name them, sit down.

Transparency is not an attack on kids. Hiding the ball and then blaming the people asking for the records is.
