Wg Cdr Sturman was OC West Mercian Wing when I was put forward for a commission and carried out my initial board. A fine officer and a true gentleman.

My condolences to Julia and the whole family.

Stand easy, Sir.

Wg Cdr H Sturman RAFVR(T) retd RIP

[West Mercian Wing @wmwrafac]

We in @wmwaco are saddened to hear of the passing of our former OC Wg, Wg Cdr Harry Sturman. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at the time.

On Monday, the Vice Lord Lieutenant for Aberdeenshire, Lady Aberdeen, visited to present Cadet Warrant Officer Weideman with her Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet certificate. She takes over the role from our other CWO, CWO McIntosh. @NscotWingRAFAC @SNIRAFACMedia @aircadets @ComdtAC

@TrainingWMW @OCWMercianWing @79WhitchurchATC I was with @79WhitchurchATC from 1987 - 1997, before transferring to 79D/F (later 24 Sqn). I moved up north in 2000. @davethiggins

@TrainingWMW @OCWMercianWing @79WhitchurchATC Absolutely! And all the best officers were NCOs with @79WhitchurchATC first . . . 😁😁 (AWO 1989 - 1995)

While most of the team go to DBH to register and get their passes, a few of us who arrived yesterday will meet up at the tower to start preparing the airfield for #riat22. Did you know we rename taxiways and holding points just for the show? #avgeek

Well done CWO Barclay 👏👏

[Kieran Whitford 🤘 @KieranWhitford]

How cool is it that one of our Cadets actually met Princess Anne?! Special moment for CWO @mbarclay2013 a couple months ago and a very good left-handed salute too (not something you usually practice). As a big rugby fan, I'm V jealous she met the Patron Saint of @Scotlandteam!

[The Former OC NE Scotland Wing @retdOC_NEScotWg]

Proud Uncle moment 👍 (Sea Cadets, how could she . . . 🤣!

[Milton Keynes Rose Trust @TheRoseMK]

#OnThisDay in 2016, we teamed up with @Lowland_RFCA to host a successful Parliamentary Reception in the Palace of #Westminster in #London!

There were peers, MPs, key members of the chain of command in Scotland, Reservists and Cadets at the event.🎉 #OTD

Just got note that I passed my ILM Level 5 in Leadership and Management. Run by @CVQO following my RAFAC Squadron Commanders Course. It sits at SCQF Level 9 - equivalent to a Bachelors Degree?! Who says the Air Cadets is only for kids 😉

[The Former OC NE Scotland Wing @retdOC_NEScotWg]

@katherinealee Well done Katy. I saw a Sqn Ldr K Lee in the listings last night, when I was reading through them, and wondered if it was you. Very well deserved 👏👏
