For the record there is NO FOOD SAFETY LEGISLATION in Aus preventing you from BYO’ing your own coffee cup or food container to a business.

It is not unhygienic. It is not illegal. Given our massive waste problem, it is both moral and sensible to do so.

And microplastics - degraded bits of plastic under 5mm - are everywhere… in our waterways, bottled and tap water, salt, seafood, beer, even agriculture via fertilisers. Marine life and aquatic birds are eating it. We’re consuming it. The oceans are riddled with it.

@island_phone @altimetr @craigreucassel No, it doesn’t. There is no legislation against using keep cups in food safety legislation anywhere. And for those in the back row that missed it, if you don’t believe that, you can very simply do a contactless pour.

And then handle everyone’s grotty money…
