Saw Hedwig on Saturday @LeedsPlayhouse and still feel absolutely spellbound. What a triumph: an amazing cast, production - and what a star @Divinadecampo is 👑 can’t wait to see it again!
cw: transphobia
Full respect and solidarity with the dancers of the Rosie Kay Dance Company for their courage and eloquence in the face of the abhorrent transphobic abuse they have faced from Kay, detailed in their open letter here: https://t.co/KncchJRGTu
@jo_woods11 Here’s mine! Several drugs every day to keep us breathing. But we’re apparently as healthy / at the same risk level as any other people our age without asthma! #asthmaticsatrisk#VaccinesForAsthmatics
Without the priority jab promised, many asthmatics no longer have the justification to shield or take extra precautions at work, to protect themselves. These are the knock-on effects of a dangerous decision that is not supported by science #FluJabEqualsCovidJab#asthmaticsatrisk
@alexrobertcroft Sorry this happened to you Alex, you did the right thing sharing your story! Facebook is terrible for this - after doing a Look North piece campaigning for asthmatics like myself to be reinstated back into group 6 I was called every name under the sun in the comments!
- Asthmatics are more likely to develop Long COVID & be hospitalised
- Asthmatics receive an annual flu jab because we are more vulnerable to severe illness - simple colds go to our chest and can make us v. poorly
- Asthmatics are still listed as clinically vulnerable to COVID
"It is very frightening because we know what it's like to not be able to breathe."
Rachel has asthma and she's worried that she's not prioritised for the Covid vaccine.
People whose asthma is under control will not be prioritised. Find out more: https://t.co/LRDLW0kmv1
Please consider signing the below petition to reinstate asthmatics back into group 6. As workplaces / non essential retail open back up we must protect all clinically vulnerable people. #asthmaticsatrisk#vaccineforasthmatics

Following comments by Jake Berry in today's #PMQs, we are disappointed that an MP and former government minister continues to perpetuate tropes that culture in the north is of less value than that in London.
There's a lot that has happened and that continues to happen as we try to make sure there is a TRUE independent inquiry at Tyneside Cinema. Here is a timeline of events from 2013 - this week. Please read if you have any gaps in your understanding. https://t.co/OQJvXDNE2j
Following the Prime Minister's update earlier this evening, we will be taking some time to liaise with our partner theatres and will make a statement before 12 noon tomorrow regarding our national tour. Thank you for your patience at this time.
For #InternationalWomenDay2020 we have produced a short film featuring long term balletLORENT dancer and collaborator Debbi Purtill that celebrates the strength and beauty of women as they age, endure and transform. Music from @iamJohnBramwell ✨
