If there’s one myth leadership taught me to unlearn
It’s that work and life should exist in perfect balance. They don’t. They never have. And chasing that illusion only leaves to exhaustion.
As the CEO of Hamly, a conglomerate built through years of relentless execution, layered industries, and grit, I once believed that working late, burning out, and pushing limits was the definition of hard work.
Truth is, I still believe in hard work. I still have a gazillion things to figure out and I probably always will. The difference now is how I approach it.
I’ve learned that work-life fluidity is about synergy — finding permeability between different aspects of life where they coexist, in mutual enrichment.
Mindful presence has become my greatest productivity tool. It keeps my mind clear, my decisions sharp, and my leadership more human. I don’t compartmentalize work and personal life anymore; instead, I let them flow together in a way that feels natural. It’s meant being fiercely committed to Hamly’s vision while also making room for stillness, reflection, and simply being there for the people who matter.
For me, work-life fluidity is about rhythm, not rigidity. It’s the wisdom to know when to lean into my professional responsibilities and when to be present with family or take a personal moment. I might take calls from airport lounges, but I’ll step away to attend a school play midweek if that’s what my family needs. That blend of work and personal life is what keeps me energized and centered.
Rather than battling against the constant tension of trying to ‘balance’ everything, I've learned to embrace the ebb and flow. Being intentional with my energy and presence matters more than trying to balance time.
At Hamly, I encourage everyone to adopt this mindful approach. I urge our team to give their best when needed, but equally, to know that their personal well-being, family time, and health are just as important.
We support one another in finding that rhythm because we’re not just colleagues, we’re a family. And that means growing together-with empathy, purpose, and presence.

We need fundamental reform to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule to help office based high cost centers continue to provide access to care in critically underserved areas
@CMSGov@SCAI@SIRspecialists@theACC@VascularSVS@OEISociety
The Providing Relief and Stability for Medicare Patients Act of 2023 (H.R. 3674) is bipartisan legislation that mitigates cuts to office-based specialists and avoids significant disruptions in patient access to care.

Another great case with the Biotronik Pulsar T3 stent. The 4Fr tri-axial system allows precise delivery along with an excellent crossing profile - a game changing technology especially when treating from a retrograde pedal approach. @BIOTRONIK_US@CLI_Global
The Pulsar-18 T3 stent from Biotronik is truly revolutionary. The novel 4F tri-axial system enables extremely precise deliverability, maximizing safety and patient comfort. @CLI_Global@OEISociety#clifighters
