Polarization vs injustice used to be a tradeoff. Reducing one created more of the other.
But now, itโs become a both/and. Where one goes, the other follows.
Iโm thinking about re-engaging here.
Cons: So many amazing people I once followed have left. It will never be the same.
Pros: Some of you amazing people have stayed and still inspire me.
Help me decide. What keeps you here?
@BenKaspick Correct part: Giants are cheap and have only themselves to blame. Incorrect part: Lack of repeat WS winner equals parity. Postseason parity in baseball is due to the disparity between a 5-game sample vs. 162. But what happens during those 162 has much to do with payroll.
Finding out I was Oscar nominated for playing #Sofia in @TheColorPurple went a little somethig like this. Thank you @TheAcademy for this highly esteemed honor.
@BenKaspick Multiple things can be true:
- Zaidi could have improved the roster but didnโt.
- Itโs reasonable for fans to be frustrated & expect a better starting rotation when in such strong playoff contention.
- Current team has been solid, is still in the mix & remains worth rooting for.
"Churches often demonize polarization because they know disruption can lead to conflict and upset the status quo... But when we avoid clarity about justice because it seems 'divisive,' we misunderstand the nature of Christian unity." ~@hannahnpbowman https://t.co/MoQgjGnTQK
@marklicitra @randyjcruz So tough. I'm trying to narrow it down to 4, but it's impossible.
Even 12 isn't enough: Malcom X, Philadelphia, Deja Vu, Inside Man, Cry Freedom, Pelican Brief, He Got Game, Antwone Fisher, Taking of Pelham 123, Preacher's wife, Out of time, Glory
