@Marine__VA I started a new playthrough of SM2 to celebrate Brand New Day, and then remembered “oh yeah, you only get to play as Spidey for like an hour at a time before the story makes you take the suit off for a bit.” Dropped it faster than I ever have before.
@ChocoExplsn For me, the 2002 suit is even better than the 2004 suit, as well. Like I know it’s technically a bit more put together in the sequel, but that original suit with the rounder back spider, black logo/lenses, and slightly leaner build? Perfect. This? Not as much.
@silverhandluvr “They can’t add leg animations for Cloak! That would be so much work and I would just cause issues.”
Meanwhile, in the white lady corner…
@MiguelC19207517@DiscipleOfBrad But they didn’t mock Matt. They actually make him arguably the coolest character in the show and just have him behaving like comic Matt.
@IncroyableSauce And they in fact did try to give him the modern version of this job… In one movie. He’s only doing influencer/vlogger stuff in Homecoming. After that… Nope, we just ignored one of his established major hobbies/career options.
@_TK_555555 My guess? She’s going upstate to lay low for a bit. She’s in a giant-sized pickle right now thanks to her uncanny powers, and after she did what she did, she needs an astonishing amount of time for herself to sort things out. Hell, it’s a marvel that this girl got out at all.
@joeyofkrakoa I will say that’s not really a disqualification for Hollywood. There’s a trend of casting men in their 30s to play someone the same age as a woman in their 20s. That said, it’s not a bad set of picks at all! I think we just need relatively open minds when it comes to his casting.
@adamchudlock Well… Yeah. One just had the biggest movie opening of all time this weekend. The other is a character that has only really had an impact in niche games and comics up until Rivals. There is a double standard, but for OBVIOUS REASONS. Acting like it’s a crime is pretty dumb.
@DoritoGOD2 I think the biggest problem it has is that it doesn’t like to take the silly stuff as silly and fun, it likes to mock it. “Oh the world is so cool you guys, but the names are so dumb! Isn’t Fisto such a stupid name?”
@tyreon1 This would not be a drastic change, and the suit wouldn’t have any negative side effects outside of the joyrides from the books. Instead, it just changes to mirror the way Peter sees it. When he knows it’s alive, it’s not a suit anymore: it’s an alien. It’s scary.
@tyreon1 Then, when Peter finds out from a scientist(hopefully Reed) that it’s alive, the suit changes ever so slightly. The glassy eyes feel softer and more emotive. The fabric seems to move just a little bit. The edge of the spider seems to be bleeding a tiny bit. (2)
@Jahtri16 I think the suit would have been fine if they just cut the amount of black down, but no, they added MORE when they redesigned it after the alpha. The black patches on the underarm are so fucking gross
@QuakesWifey73 I think there is so much cool implications to the future of this world now that THE Marvel Superhero is gonna be responsible(not even indirectly, DIRECTLY) for mutant oppression. The guilt that’s gonna cause later down the line… Oh I need that drama now.
@AlexWex While it is a sin, I feel like it makes it fit this version of Peter even more. Motherfucker is so anti-social he can’t go down the street to get a slice of some of the best pizza on the planet. He orders goddamn hot-and-ready.
@QuakesWifey73 Honestly, I feel like introducing her first is because they wanna do Phoenix right this time, and also show that Jean and the other mutants aren’t perfect people. A lot of them have killed, and will kill again. Having young Jean with a mean streak? I fuck with it.
