I think that there is a connection with Challenging and Engaging. Because the boy was being challenged to write down letters of the alphabet. He engaged it by drawing funny letters and taking a creative artistic style to it. The father needed to let his son be creative. #TCH130
A5: I feel like to let kids develop, you also have to let kids be kids. Let them draw funny stuff, let them be creative and play. Don't get mad at them if they don't want to do homework. Of course find a time for homework, but no kid wants to do homework. #tch130#tchedbirds
A4: A risk that may be needed to take is making my math lessons less curriculum oriented and more creative, imaginative challenges, like puzzles, drawings, and other things that engages the mind of a middle schooler more than just lectures from a textbook. #tch130#tchedbirds
A3: This video changed my thoughts to when I teach math, I don't think I will send myself students home with a bunch of homework from the book each night. Maybe only two nights per week with problems from the lessons we learned and will be on the test. #tch130#tchedbirds
A2: The video reminded me of school back in 3rd grade or so, as an 8 year old kid, I would spend 8 hours sitting at a desk and then going home and my parents making me do more homework. The kid in the video just wanted to be creative and draw for his dad. #tch130#tchedbirds
A1: Hi! I'm Rex, and I am a sophomore set to graduate in 2024. My endorsements are mathematics and general science. My theme song for this week is American Kids by Kenny Chesney, great song overall.https://t.co/qVICuGCjtT #tch130#tchedbirds
Something I learned that was interesting is that teachers make middle school students move around to keep them active in the class and not bore off and zone out.
My name is Rex and I am a Middle Level Ed major with mathematics and general science endorsements. I am excited to learn about the middle school system and the kids in it. #tch130
