4. Work closely with Guilds in beta tests or game launch to manage your economy - we are your institutions & you are the central bank. It’s easier to manage a few than many.
5. Establish LiveOps both for the game service & economy, some great examples by @spacepixel
2. Coincide your IDO at game launch or post game launch when you’ve got PMF from beta tests & ensure your release schedules aren’t too short.
3. Don’t oversell tokens to non-value adders - be it guilds or VCs, add a penalty clause if needed.
Call to action for Game Devs - for the better of yourselves
1. Pre-to-during production - Focus on game & economy design, work with tokenomics later via triangulating views with partners, economic modeling with machinations, & beta test on testnets.
Guilds still compete in games for the best assets, but do it meritocratically & not at expense of regular players. A win-win situation is possible for all, which will build confidence in the space. If you want to net positive economics, work with us guilds together.
If you want to take profit, do it when there’s organic & sufficient liquidity + after the spending flywheel is switched on. At least work with developers before doing so to avoid crashing the economy.
4. Guilds must not dump NFTs or FTs early game - it will destroy the economy & liquidity too soon. If you don’t intend play & invest long-term enough to make the game a success, don’t participate at all.
3. Play the game & groom competitive community incentivized by ownership. FYI, maybe don’t label your insignia on usernames early on, it scares core players away who don't want to take on cartels and are discouraged from climbing the leaderboard. We learnt this from the community
Call to action for Guilds - for the better of the ecosystem
1. Continue scholarships for people to play & own - it may be a temporary loss leader but economics should eventually pay off in the long run.
