What if I told you that a world of ancient passageways lies beneath one of the most famous buildings on Earth?
Beneath Istanbul’s magnificent Hagia Sophia, restoration teams are investigating an extensive network of underground spaces.
In December 1900, three lighthouse keepers disappeared from a remote Scottish island.
When the relief crew arrived, nobody was there.
The lighthouse was deserted.
The men were gone.
And the Atlantic Ocean surrounded the island in every direction.
What happened at Flannan?
PART 7/7
Three men went to work at a remote lighthouse.
Their station was found deserted.
Their bodies were never recovered.
The official explanation was that they were probably swept away by a large wave.

What if I told you that a world of ancient passageways lies beneath one of the most famous buildings on Earth?
Beneath Istanbul’s magnificent Hagia Sophia, restoration teams are investigating an extensive network of underground spaces.
The genuine discovery is fascinating enough.
Beneath a monument visited by millions lies an archaeological landscape that researchers are still documenting.
PART 2/8
The expedition began with 10 people.
One hiker turned back early because of illness.
The remaining nine continued toward the mountain pass.
They never returned.
When the search party eventually reached their campsite, the group was nowhere to be found.
In February 1959, nine experienced hikers died in the Ural Mountains.
Their tent was found on a snowy slope.
But something about the scene immediately disturbed investigators:
The hikers had left the tent in a hurry.
And some of them weren’t properly dressed and freezing.
The lifeboats were gone.
And no definitive explanation ever solved the disappearance.
What do you think happened aboard the Carroll A. Deering?

THE SHIP THAT LOST AN ENTIRE CREW
🧵 PART 1/8
On January 31, 1921, a five-masted schooner was discovered hard aground off North Carolina.
Every sail was still set.
The ship wasn’t supposed to be there.
And its entire crew had vanished.
The ship was the Carroll A. Deering.
But the ship disappeared in 1921, long before the Bermuda Triangle became a popular cultural phenomenon.
That connection was added later.
PART 8/8
What we actually know is already strange enough:
A ship was found abandoned.
Its crew of roughly eleven men was never found.
