Not only did you make a historic deep NCAA tourney run, you had the number one team in college baseball on their heels. You fiercely competed day after day and left everything on the field.

More importantly, you brought so many people together. You had local businesses opening their doors on their day off to give community members a place to watch the games with neighbors. Businesses were offering deals in your honor. Purple was spotted in several locations all across the city. Local kids have been idolizing their hometown sports heroes and thus dreaming themselves of being in your cleats one day.

You created such a positive buzz in the community that we hadn’t seen in years. You have made us proud.
