Also I can’t wait for the first Hawks-OKC game next season just to watch Thunder fans who defended Dort at every time react to the way he guards SGA lol
There are so many moving pieces to all of this, and I fully admit that I lean toward "shoot the moon" with the back half of rosters over the safe play...but I think there are more compelling reasons to see what Jarace can do for a few months, even if it lowers the 82game floor
@TonyREast and @RomeovilleKid had a ton about Shepp vs Jarace that I 100% agree with. Here's a couple more thoughts I had that explain why, to me, it HAS to be Jarace:
1. 26-27 Pacers paths to improving
2. Asset management
3. Opportunity cost
4. Replacement value
5. Urgency

Pacers already did this with Mathurin: salary slot a not-so-clean-fitting player holds at the deadline can be more useful than waiting until FA, where you're stuck
And really, Shepp vs Jarace answer may just be "healthy Furphy". Need to know about Jarace by Dec

Which draft class has the best starting five?🤔
2018: Luka and Shai teamup 😳
2020: Ant and Hali front-court 👀
2021: Mobley and Scottie defense 😮💨

@the2kmessiah No see you don't understand, the trade had a butterfly effect that DEFINITELY would have changed the outcome of the lottery, because that's how revisionist history works...just ignore the facts, and that the Pacers still wouldn't have a starting center or a clear path to one

@McCadeP8 I meant which they need more of from Peterson specifically, though obviously that depends on how likely they feel it is to acquire the other side of that
Every team needs a Jokic/Ant/Tatum, but in the absence of that, what do they most need from what they have?
Stumbled on this again this morning, and will never pass up a chance to watch how incredible LeBron was to close out the 2016 Finals
