@andysignore I understand your philosophical objection! More competition on the buyer side is better for sellers. In this case, I think the objection is outweighed by the fact that David Ellison is a great dude, and will be *much* better for Warner Brothers than David Zaslav was.
You couldn’t have this more wrong, and I would know. I’ve worked for and with David for over fifteen years, and have come to know him well, professionally and personally. He is one of the finest, most genuine people I’ve ever met, inside or outside Hollywood. Smart. Kind. Polite. Loyal. Hard-working. Moral. Good-hearted. Unpretentious. Sane. Common-sensical. Just an unrelentingly stand-up human being. He is none of the negative things that perfect strangers are accusing him of on this site and others. NONE. I have read post after post about him, all the while thinking, ‘Tell me you don’t know David Ellison without telling me you don’t know David Ellison.’ I’d put the man in charge of even *more* of Hollywood if I could. That’s how much I love and respect him.
Remember friends, how someone treats you is how they treat everybody else.
David Ellison will become the most hated man in Hollywood, and he will earn that title.
Letting go of redundancies is a natural part of handling he's kind of mergers, but grace, class and politeness go a long way.
Both Paramount and Warner Bros legacies have been slaughtered by one man with a familial infinite money glitch.
When this is all said and done people will beg for Netflix to step in and save the studio from itself.

The post shows that the facility was engaged in gain-of-function research on bioweapon agents (Brucella having been a bioweapons agent used in pre-BWC offensive BW programs).
Such research has no--zero--civilian or defensive military applications. Its sole applications are for discovery, development, and characterization of new BW agents for offensive BW.
What once was the peak, is now just the beginning.
Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture. By combining them, we aren't rewriting history — we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine. Together, we are Skydance: a creative-first home for bold, quality storytelling.
We chose this name for a few important reasons. First and foremost, as we bring Paramount and Warner Bros. together, we wanted to preserve what has made each of these studios iconic. Both have distinct identities, extraordinary legacies and brands that have resonated with audiences for generations. We never wanted a new corporate identity to diminish, alter or overshadow either one. Instead, we wanted a name that would give the combined company an identity of its own while allowing Paramount and Warner Bros. — and all our extraordinary brands — to remain in the spotlight.
We have big goals for Skydance, and we intend to pursue them with passion, imagination and a willingness to take smart risks. At the same time, we will honor what makes Paramount and Warner Bros. special — giving both studios the opportunity to grow, tell more great stories and bring those stories to even broader audiences around the world, powered by the scale and capabilities of Skydance.
I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re going to build together.
Just finished listening to the 2.5 hour convo on Rogan with David Grusch. I have to say I find it hard to take him seriously.
At the end Joe thanks him for his service to the country, and Grusch waxes poetic about how he just wants to let Americans know what is actually going on. And what is that?
Grusch explains that the government has dead reptilian aliens that soldiers shot dead, after the reptilians killed a number of US soldiers. This was part of the war on Earth between the grays and the reptilians that, again, the military is involved in. There’s a UFO so huge that it can’t be moved so the government built a giant building around it. There’s an underwater structure the size of many city blocks in an ocean somewhere that houses more aliens who are monitoring us.
And on and on with lots of references to Star Trek and multiple Hollywood SciFi films, which to my ears is exactly what all this sounds like. Grusch tells a fantastic story that if true would be beyond belief, but then when Joe asks him for details Grusch clams up, even claiming that people in our government have threatened his life (after explaining that he uncovered a child trafficking operation in the government).
Question: if David Grusch is really afraid for his life why is he telling millions of people all these stories (but when asked for evidence goes silent)?
I’m sorry, but my skeptical alarms go off when I listen to Grusch. It is very difficult to believe. I know many of you on X seem to hold him in high regard so what am I missing?
Even he told Joe “I know this all sounds completely crazy.” Yup.
Torrey Lovullo has agreed to a new 2-year contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks with a slight raise. Lovullo turned down an option year in the contract. The contract got done this morning. Lovullo did not know what direction the Diamondbacks were going to go in until Monday when they informed him they wanted to keep him at that time. Lovullo's original contract expires on October 31st so he was not able to speak with anyone else.
