Moved to just outside Lisbon and much prefer it. Beautiful, warm and cheaper. Not perfect but a better mix of attributes for my preference.

Otherwise, Cape Town is stunning and a great lifestyle. Gets a bad wrap for crime on paper but if you have a car and live around the City Bowl or Atlantic Seaboard you’re fine.

If you can do remote work and opt for private healthcare those would be my two picks.

Lived in Copenhagen (Frederiksberg) for 5 years and it was overrated in my personal experience. Weather is cold, dark and windy most of the year. Groceries, food, drink and taxes are eye wateringly expensive. Variety gets repetitive after a while. We left because we were always cooped up inside with our young daughter and wanted to be outside more. Don’t mind paying a high cost for a good lifestyle but overall the balance felt extractive in practice. Govt services are well run though.

Its been a bit over 2 years since I got my M1 MacBook Pro, and now it consistently overheating while I'm just coding.

All I use is cursor, arc browser, docker, raycast, and notion. Even with light usage, this bad boy stilll overheats. Am I missing something here?
