The Republican Party of Florida is breaking its own rules to serve its agenda, not the people.

The RPOF is calling an “emergency meeting” to endorse a candidate before the primary, despite clear rules prohibiting endorsements when there is a Republican challenger. Instead of following their bylaws, party leadership appears willing to bend or change them to get the outcome they want.

At the center of tms is mm Chair of the RPOF, who is simultaneously preparing to run for Congress while maintaining control of the party apparatus. That is an obvious conflict of interest.

Political parties exist to represent voters, not to pre-select winners or protect insiders. Clearly we have a major trust problem as the RPOF continues to make up rules of the game as it suits them, not the voters.

Republican voters deserve transparency and fairness, not backroom politics masquerading as party unity.
