This is a lie. Protesters did not storm Iowa’s Capitol...they had a permit, they went through security, the building is open to the public. Per Des Moines Register, the one arrest was of a high school student an officer claimed “pushed my arm in an attempt to gain my attention."

@JaneLindskold @UrsulaV I don't do horror either and I definitely do nightmares but I wouldn't give up knowing the characters in Twisted Ones and Hollow Places for anything. The hope and just general good feelings you get from knowing them (including the dog and the cat) outweigh the creepy.

The US did a very unusual thing when it voted out an aspiring autocrat despite huge obstacles (voter suppression, threats to officials, attempted coup, etc). But if the Dems do not abolish the filibuster and protect voting rights, the next US election will vote autocracy back in.
