UPDATE: Threats causing @WCCUSD to close campuses districtwide after school today were “spam emails”. Schools will reopen tomorrow. District said threats mirror a hoax that targeted schools nationwide last year, but the update does not show us what the “spam emails” look like.

BREAKING: WCCUSD closes campuses districtwide after school today due to an email threat it believes to be credible, per @WCCUSD community email. The District did not specify what the threat is exactly but mentions other neighboring school districts also received a threat.

Gunshots update: A brawl that occurred after school just outside of RHS Monday ended when a person fired gunshots in the air, sending the school into lockdown.
No injuries or arrests. RHS students were involved in the fight, according to San Pablo PD, who is investigating. (1/?)

A brawl that occurred after school just outside of Richmond High School today ended when a person pulled out a handgun and fired multiple gunshots in the air, sending the school into lockdown.

It happened in front of the visitor parking lot at about 3:45 p.m. No one was shot-

students will not be able to enter through the side gates. All students will have to show their school ID and backpacks will be checked before you are permitted to enter the school building.
