Nobody talks enough about the people who are suicidal but still functioning.
Still working.
Still parenting.
Still laughing.
Still getting shit done.
While quietly thinking:
“I don’t know how much longer I can fucking do this.
I see you. 👀

Heartbreak is one thing.
Heartbreak with no closure/resolve is another.
It’s pure torture. Nobody truly understands it unless they’ve lived it.
Both are hard af.
But not having closure is a special kind of hell that is hard to mentally escape.
the truth is, i’m probably a little too attached to you. but can you really blame me? you gave me something i didn’t know i was missing. you made me feel calm. cared for. loved. you made me realize that maybe i deserve something better than what i had convinced myself to accept. so if i seem like too much sometimes, i’m sorry. i’m still learning what it feels like to feel safe with someone. i’ve never had this kind of peace before, and maybe that’s why i hold onto you so tightly. i love you.
The gym saves you mentally more than physically. It’s not about the pump, it’s about peace. When life gets loud, this is the only place that goes quiet. Call it fitness, therapy, or survival.
Lift weights = lift mental health.
Wife: Your Honor, I’m asking the court to order my husband to pay $6,500 every month in child support.
Judge: $6,500?
Wife: Yes, Your Honor. He makes more than $200,000 a year. Our children deserve to live comfortably.
Judge: Husband, do you agree with that amount?
Husband: No, Your Honor.
Wife: Of course he doesn’t. He has always been selfish when it comes to money.
Judge: Why do you believe $6,500 is reasonable?
Wife: Because I’m the one raising the children. He gets to go to work every day while I handle everything at home.
Husband: Your Honor, may I respond?
Judge: Go ahead.
Wife: “The daycare just raised our monthly bill to $2,400.”
Husband: “Then we’ll figure it out.”
Wife: “How?”
He looked at her.
Husband: “I’ll pick up more hours.”
She shook her head.
Wife: “That’s not what I want.”
Husband: “Then what do you want?”
She pointed toward their sleeping daughter.
Wife: “I want to quit my job and stay home with her.”
He went quiet.
She continued:
Wife: “After taxes, my paycheck barely covers daycare, gas, and lunch. I’m basically working to pay someone else to raise our kid.”…
Most men lose themselves trying to hold onto someone who was never fully theirs to begin with. They bend. They shrink. They beg. And she leaves anyway.
