It’s #OCDAwarenessWeek. Here’s a poem I wrote after being diagnosed with OCD a couple of years ago, originally published in Field’s issue on the theme of ‘control’.
I’ve got two new poems in the latest issue of nawr magazine on the theme of ‘deffro/awaken’. Diolch to the editors for publishing them! You can pick up a copy of the issue from https://t.co/Mk2mmPGBqp

@parthianbooks @WelshLabour@Jeremy_Miles@beccaleigh99@elaine_canning @ElaGriff17 @HoratioClare@Plaid_Cymru@Heledd_Plaid@JuliaBell Glad to hear your mother is home now Rich, and that the artworks are still doing what they were intended for! Spent some time up there when my son was ill recently and loved sitting looking at Katie Allen’s artwork in the atrium space, very peaceful. Makes a big difference.
Diolch for your kind words about my book @PrifWeinidog . Genuinely appreciated. I am concerned that, due to cuts to the Welsh publishing sector, books like mine will remain unpublished and unread. 🧵
We had the chance to chat with @Fearnecotton for #OCDAwarenessWeek.
We talked about the realities of living with OCD — a condition that’s often misunderstood. OCD goes far beyond just being “neat” or “clean”. It’s a complex mental health problem that can affect us in ways most people don’t see ❤️🩹
What do you wish people understood better about OCD? 💬#OCDAwarenessWeek
OCD is very rarely completely cured – I still regularly get intrusive thoughts about death and other various things, but I’m now able to manage them better. I’m no expert so check out accounts like @MindCharity this #OCDWeek to learn more about OCD.

The poem might have a bit of a pessimistic tone at times but that’s just the typical tone of my poetry tbh. The long-overdue diagnosis I received in 2022 was so positive and the subsequent cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) was honestly life changing.
Happy #NationalPoetryDay! Buy poetry books from your favourite shops and presses, go see poets, buy a poet a drink / meal / flowers. Take poetry out to the pub / park with you or share a duvet day with it. Share your favourite poems. Love poems. Love poets.
'A poem always takes the time you take to write it, plus a lifetime.’
The inscription on our building was composed by the former National Poet of Wales @Lewispoet, and to celebrate National Poetry Day we’re sharing an exclusive clip from our interview between Gwyneth and the current holder of that title, @hanan_issa_.
Look out for the full film in a few weeks as we celebrate our 20th birthday.
I'll be teaching a new course with @AberUni Lifelong Learning beginning in the new term.
Join online, in your own time, from the comfort of your own home/coffee shop/library.
Really looking forward to it! 🖊️♀️

Never thought I’d be 6 years+ between books, but hopefully not too long until I get the next one finished. You can still pick up That Lone Ship from the Parthian website or anywhere that sells books. https://t.co/v1pM73iiSj
Reminded on Instagram that the hometown launch of my first book was 6 years ago today. Where has that time gone! Great night in the TechHub Cafe in Swansea (a venue sadly no longer open) and had this lovely write up on the @parthianbooks blog the next day: https://t.co/9AWX71ARrw
