Yesterday while traveling in the capital of English land, I was reading these stats and i couldn’t believe my own history: there were literally 0 women -yes, zero - about 100 years back in our caste who were literate, let alone they could read english. Indebted to reformers!
Out of the 30 odd countries i have travelled, it has always been white men with least interesting experiences having the loudest obnoxious noises - stating their sad little “conquest” stories of traveling another country. Duh, we get it - you are insecure af.

The “disturbances”.. seemed to expose hidden fault lines running through England, ..country’s racial politics amid .., low economic growth .. And beyond these .. lurks: how ultra-nationalist atmosphere of Modi’s India might be spreading beyond its borders. https://t.co/8xMGknLsf8

For starters, most of their take on sustainability involves the capacity of the project to be profitable or not. It is just another buzz word to be a quick millionaire. The word "impact" is limited to profits and cost benefit analysis. Sadly most of these (dudes) lead firms.
Most of the time i meet an #iitian (which i mostly avoid), it saddens me to see that they have not yet left their bubble of elitism. And they mostly do not have capacity to talk about anything beyond money and productivity. What a waste of "elite" education.

No doubt there is a lack of discussions on environmental fronts in Indian politics. And the sooner this is realised the better that 'environmental justice IS social justice' especially in context of India where inequities define informal rules of society.
This is one story. Yes, I helped him out for today or few more days maybe. But who takes care of the violence he is exposed to everyday. The discrimination his child goes through. The training which he needs but is not provided with and penalised for. Who?Who protects many more?
I took a cab today. The driver was afraid to park anywhere as someone could "beat him up" for parking wrong or ask him to pay. He said I am from "sapera" caste (snake charmer), people will ofc beat me up - "even when I line up for free food". Yes, saperas are scheduled caste.
My heart is heavy. His kid had fever from two days, he was denied govt hospital service. I didn't understand exactly why. The family is barely able to afford a meal, cz he has to drive an electric car and got a huge fine for plugging it wrong, and he has no salary left now.
@YashicaDutt Ohh this is so sick. Don't know if my words will help at all, but just wanted to say that many of us are very sorry for your pain and struggle. This is not fair and please know that there are many Dalit women standing with you. Keep up the good fight ✊🏽
