If you love her, understand her.
Learn the weight she carries
in hands that still reach out to soothe your own.
See the soul within her eyes,
the grief that sometimes rises when she smiles,
the courage it has taken her
to let you come this close.
And when her words grow scarce,
sit beside her in the hushโ
until she feels no need
to make her sorrow beautiful
for you to hold it.
Maybe the point was never to find a love without flaws, without arguments, without 2 a.m. apologies and mornings spent rebuilding what got cracked the night before. Maybe the point was to find someone willing to do the rebuilding with you again and again, not because the foundation is weak, but because anything worth keeping requires maintenance, requires two people choosing the work over the easy way out. I didn't find a perfect love. I found something better a real one.
If I had to explain what love means to me now, I wouldn't talk about fireworks or grand gestures. I'd talk about staying through disagreements, through distance, through the moments neither of us were at our best. I'd talk about choosing someone, again and again, not because it's easy, but because they're worth the effort. Love, I've learned, isn't about perfection. It's about showing up, imperfectly, honestly, consistently. And if that's what this is messy, real, imperfect, true then I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
In 1989, Jim Varney and Robin Williams were caught on camera riffing with each other backstage at COMIC RELIEF III, and it's really amazing to see. The two had a known mutual respect for each other, first met crossing paths on the standup circuit, with Williams even saying that no one could keep up with him more than Varney ๐ฅ Two legends we lost way too soon
I need to stop posting straight up pr0n here but Iโm fucking ovulating and SOMEone insists on teasing me.. By existing, they tease me by merely existing ๐ณ Itโs actual torture..
