I think part of why people aren’t doing anything about the Epstein Files is
1. People assuming they’re outnumbered and there’s nothing they can do and not understanding they’re part of the system and therefore able to change it
2. People going in with the mindset that reading +
@PrishaMosley +a good thing for movies, especially kids movies, to promote sympathy or at least understanding of others’ motivations so you can properly address them
@PrishaMosley Understanding that people have nuance in their actions isn’t equivalent to enabling their actions. I think if it’s portraying it as a misunderstanding rather than someone doing bad things but is nonetheless a human, then yeah that could be harmful, but overall I think it’s +
@SnappleJim@dadoctaevil@da3kew@Garabooshii@formaldehyke It’s not about valuing one or the other but about whether or not it’s suffering. If the parasite isn’t suffering, fine, but you can prevent a life without causing it harm. Usually it’s more ethical than giving birth to a kid you can’t support
@CountryBoyKelso@formaldehyke If that’s true then I think that’s a fair point, but a lot of people’s argument is just about it being a parasite and not about the lack of consciousness
@dadoctaevil@da3kew@Garabooshii@formaldehyke Abortions are typically performed in the earliest months. Late term abortions would be more preventable if safe and legal abortions were accessible
@dadoctaevil@da3kew@Garabooshii@formaldehyke There’s a difference between aborting something and putting it in a pen. You can painlessly kill a parasite without keeping in a small display case
@poemofthenight You don’t have to do anything. It doesn’t need to be alienating. If you want you can chime in with a girl you think is hot. You’re not all gonna agree on everything
@tillivancuck +although that’s still not weakness. Idk I felt like that statistic was kinda contradictory with the scenes we’ve seen of Sua but there could always be more nuance to her motives
@tillivancuck That’s true actually. I think Sua probably feels she has to act that way given how she was raised by Nigeh. I know it was on the stats but I didn’t see how she was mentally weak, she shouldered a lot for Mizi’s sake, but ig part of dying for Mizi could’ve been a desire to die, +
@bredry714886@dabbingman2 I explained that social norms are incredibly flexible and that it doesn’t matter. I bring up the latter because it’s irrelevant
@dabbingman2@BovadaThiefs@tylerhmead Social norms have and can change, the only thing holding us back is the idea that they can’t. And again, it doesn’t matter if you break social norms as long as you don’t hurt anyone
