@kucher1n@bzvr_@2igosha They also updated the Lite installer in the past 24-hours, it no longer gets detected as malware but I still wouldn't trust it. Would like to see Disc-Soft put out a statement on this. Might also be worth checking reWASD which is also made by them.
@kucher1n@bzvr_@2igosha Ultra doesn't seem to be affected at least, can't see any malware indicators for it on my existing install and the installer is signed with a 2025 date still. Probably only Lite was infected.
@TheRealZophar why did he put these godawful rings of non-data all over the discs that make it hard to dump at perfect quality frustrating many a redump dumper, while not making it particularly hard to make a mid-quality but working dump?
@GOGcom As a game modder myself (my Rayman 3 fix was even stickied on the GOG forum), is there any way we can apply to contribute mods to this? I would be more than willing to make changes where needed, I love keeping games alive and thriving with compatibility/modernization mods!
@Foulowe59@hard4games if he hasn't done it already I doubt I could convince him but I'll try asking for some details about it (a proto with that date could well contain the scrapped Xowar minigame, for instance)
When cataloguing all the various Rayman releases over the years, I noticed that the earliest copies of the PC version of Rayman 2 have "V2" on the disc ringcode, and often a sticker over the box barcode with the same "V2" serial (with the original on the box lacking the "V2").
Other known codes are:
"DVD 5051967 MPO 01 @@@@"
"505 193 4 00"
"Sono press ROM Z-4868/ RAYMANDEU A".
If your (European big-box) disc has a different code, particularly if it contains "5051916" (without the "V2") or a lower 7-digit number beginning with "50", please reply!
Does anyone have the specifications for the Blu-Ray format, specifically "System Description Blu-ray Disc Read-Only Format Part 1" or an equivalent? They don't seem to be public which really sucks and I can't find anyone who shared them anywhere.
apparently the manual for Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 used the wrong image for the wrist strap warning, showing a "condom psa" worded parody instead. lmao
tried to find the original source for this but couldn't
