LAZY vs. HARD WORK
"Lazy people do a little work and think they should be winning! Winners work as hard as possible and still wonder if they are being lazy!"

Sammy Sasso's first stop after 41 days in the hospital was the @wrestlingbucks facility to see his coaches and teammates. ❤️
Throughout the long recovery process, Sammy's toughness, perseverance and determination to wrestle is an inspiration to many. 🙌

This post is for all the high school athletes who haven’t had a great start to their career. All of those who may see their teammates and competitors getting scholarships and accolades as a freshmen or sophomore or junior, but not themselves…YET.
•
I’ve had a good amount of athletes express this to me and I always point them towards my high school career. First I tell them what changed for me my senior year: My overall mindset and developing the mental skills needed to unlock all of my physical skills. Doing so literally changed the trajectory of my life and it can do the same for you too.
•
Then I tell them if they’d like I can get them a list of the guys I played with or against who balled out early in their career, while I was struggling. A list of guys who signed to play in college before I did. A list of guys who were All-District and All-State more than I was.
•
The guys on that list may have gotten off to a better start to their high school career, but we all know, it’s not how you start, it’s how you FINISH.
•
The point of this post is that it’s never too late to be GREAT. I hope this can be motivation for any athlete who has struggled up to this point in their high school career. Don’t worry what others are doing or getting. Make a commitment to be the best YOU that YOU can possibly be and everything else will take care of itself. Start today! 👊🏻
