Petition: Hold a UK-wide briefing on climate & nature risks
The UK faces growing risks from climate & nature breakdown - from extreme weather to economic disruption & national security threats. Being informed is the first requirement for meaningful action

Extinction Rebellion block printing recognised by the V & A as something culturally worth preserving for posterity. It defined a movement.
BTW we are still here and our logo still endures.
I wonder how many of the newly elected Reform UK councillors (and existing ones) will be attending the Far Right's Unite The Kingdom march and rally in London this coming weekend?
@SimonCalder Not a major airport but Bristol Airport relies on one already congested A38 & a network of country lanes yet they have put in a planning application for an extra 3 million passengers per year. No plans for any rapid mass transit system in the pipeline. Totally unsustainable
@TMGFlorida Sorry to burst your bubble but the science can plainly be seen today. Ice caps & Greenland are melting faster than predicted. Low-lying Florida coastline will be one of the first places to be flooded. You will see it in your lifetime. If you have kids they definitely will.
National Geographic film: 100 seconds that summarises UK land use. So much land used to grow feed or used as pasture for farmed animals. Over the years this has decimated the environment making the UK one of the most nature-depleted countries in the World

@dave_etheridge@ZackPolanski You show your class, or lack of it, when you resort to outright insults. A vote for Labour, Tory or Reform is voting for same old politics where the wealth gap gets wider. UK needs a reboot for a fairer society. Green Party offer that, where wealth is shared, not hoarded.
@JeremyVineOn5 Fair comment. Why do taxpayers subsidise food & drink in Parliament for MPs whilst many in country are finding food prices exorbitant.
When we get food shortages will their restaurant run out of food?
@mmpadellan Care enough to ensure the Mid Terms & subsequent elections are a catastrophe for Republicans. Care enough to campaign for social justice & turn around the strategy on climate. RESIST.
If the US rolls over & have its tummy punched then it deserves more calamity from the right wing
@SandraABesser1@martinez_j7902@Mollyploofkins Whine on hear & watch your country disintegrate. You need to mobilise & take your country back. At the moment the US has lost respect of it's allies, yet held in high esteem by the likes of Putin & Netanyahu. Meanwhile China is quietly dominating the World with renewable energy.
@pgpgribben@MiaForTrump What utter tosh! Your moral compass is broken justice that of Trump who breaks laws to further the aims of him and his cronies. They are laughing all the way to the bank with no regard for humanity.
@MiaForTrump Trump - because by repeatedly ignoring international law he's opened up the possibility for Putin & Netanyahu to continue to act without impunity. Trump's interpretation of a 'Free World' is to do what he likes to further his own agenda and that of his sycophantic.
@EdKrassen@mikerflinn I've been saying the exact thing about Trump on my Facebook feed. He is a global liability that has no filter. He needs to be stopped before he starts threatening the World with the nuclear option.
Car parking will be limited so please car share or come by active travel - walk, bus, cycle. If weather is dry we have access to George and Dragon pub side field so this will involve short walk to the Common via Felton Street - please do not use pub's main car park.
SAVE FELTON COMMON are organising an action day on Sunday 19th April. Starting at 11am with activities in Felton Village Hall & a representation of the landing lights proposed by Bristol Airport. Community singing & photocall at 12.30pm.
Please share.
