1/4 A few years ago I took Andrea on my David Bowie Walking Tour of London which ends at the Ship pub, just a few steps from Trident Studio where the Ziggy Stardust album was recorded. I've whiled away quite a few hours at that bar over the years, but this visit was special.
My review for #SpiderManBrandNewDay: "Without a multiverse in sight Spider-Man: Brand New Day delivers on the promise of the title and delivers a new, almost streamlined, character driven approach even though it falls victim to an overblown final reel. Tom Holland, in his best 'half man, half spider' performance, embodies the character’s emotional life, while delivering the web-slinging action fans want." Fast reviews for busy people! Watch as I review three movies in less time than it takes to make the bed. Have a look as I race against the clock to tell you about the web slinging antics of #SpiderManBrandNewDay, the R-rated comedy #IWantYourSex and the android dreams of #SheepintheBox.
My review for #IWantYourSex: “I Want Your Sex is a peep show offering a satirical look at the art world, and attitudes about sex and desire, but it wouldn’t work nearly as well without the funny, dedicated performances from Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman." My review for #SheepInTheBox: “Sheep in the Box’s bottom-line question of, 'Can a relationship between a machine and a human ever really be a two-way street?' gets lost in a story that fires off in too many directions." Read the whole review here: https://t.co/sDQ8H3XySD
Devastating news from Dublin this morning. Academy Award-winning Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard died in a motorcycle crash this morning at age 56.
I immediately thought back to June 2008 when I did a Q&A for the film “Once” with Glen and the film’s director John Carney at the Regent Theatre in Toronto. Once the formal question and answer was over Hansard grabbed his guitar—the same one from the film with the hole worn in the front from constant use—and played a number of songs, solo, from the edge of the stage. It was a great, intimate performance with the same kind of warmth and charisma that he shows in the film.
It was unplanned and loose. He called up a guy named Peter Katz from the audience to perform and then several members of the audience requested that Glen play “Falling Slowly,” the future Oscar winner.
“I can’t play it,” he said. “It’s a duet and Markéta isn’t here… although if you want to help me sing it I’ll give it a go.” Three young women stood at the front of the room with him and did a transcendent version of it, complete with perfect harmonies.
Of all the Q&A’s I have hosted that one moment stands alone as a high point.

I spoke with #EmmyRossum about playing Alice Black, a trauma-scarred FBI agent on the hunt for a serial killer in her new series #Furious. The first episode debuts today on Disney+ @DisneyPlus!
On last night's edition of The Richard Crouse Show we met Suzie McNeil. She has built a career spanning television, stage, touring, and recording. She first broke through as the last woman standing on CBS’s Rockstar: INXS and has since shared stages with international artists including P!nk, Aerosmith, Alan Frew and more. She also starred as “Oz” in We Will Rock You and has led multiple genre-crossing projects, including The Loving Mary Band. Her gold-certified hit “SuperGirl” and a string of releases that have reached the Top 20 on Canadian pop charts continue to underscore her impact as a recording artist.
Today we’re talking about her new music Line 49, a collection that reimagines classic Canadian songs through the rich, emotional lens of soul music. Where Northern roots meet Southern soul, and breathes new life into iconic Canadian classics with modern arrangements infused with pop and reggae influences.
Then we met Liv Albert, the host, creator, writer, editor, and producer of the Let's Talk About Myths, Baby! podcast, and a self-proclaimed giant nerd for all things Greek and Roman mythology. Liv studied English Literature and Classical Civilisations, and has authored two adult books on Greek mythology, including the bestselling title Greek Mythology: The Gods, Goddesses, and Heroes Handbook. Today we’ll talk about her first children's book, a retelling of The Odyssey.

@TheEricGoldman@JimVejvoda It’s true! Hosted a press conference with Kermit and I swear I forgot he was a puppet with a puppeteer laying at my feet under the table. It’s magic.
