Down to the last stretch of talks for the day! We’ve got @garyxgonzalez from Catchy to talk about the blurry line between developer marketing and DevRel! 🎊
You got nothing here @BECU ? Such an easy fix, managed by all the 'big' players, @AmericanExpress@Chase@Citi@BankofAmerica etc, all manage to take household income for non-working or low-income partners. Why don't you?
Hey @BECU can you explain why your teams aren’t living your values and are excluding non working or low income partners from credit without considering household income as they should under CFPB rules?
@DiasporaDash SMB Transfer - Start a co in own country, employee people and manage them for 1+ years. Apply for L1a to transfer self to planned US co. I’m aware this is a simplification and still out of reach of many many people. It is an alternative option though, for some.
@DiasporaDash It might be worth thinking about distinguishing this sort of legal migration (small business transfer?) from multi national company, which make me think of Microsoft employees, for example, moving here from another country
@DiasporaDash I’m very aware of how privileged I was to be able to do this. I have no idea how anyone not in a similar sort of position can migrate to the US legally.
@DiasporaDash I owned a small marketing agency in the UK, which crucially I also worked in. (The fact I owned it is irrelevant) We wanted to set up a US subsidiary and I was able to transfer to the new US entity under an L1a visa. My family were eligible to join me.
