@RichardS7370 Here's my choice for round 2:
1. Kate Bush - The Dreaming
2. OMD - Architecture and Morality
3. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead
4. Sinead O'Connor - The Lion and The Cobra
5. The Human League - Dare
@TrveCvltPop @Britpopmemories@SoundandvisionA I think the closest most get is via a decent pair of headphones, but there's something magical about hearing the first hi-fi that demonstrates the full meaning of 'soundstage' to you.
@Top10Nathan If this only had "Woman in Chains" and a bunch of filler it would still be a great album. As it is, it full of great tracks with fantastic production. And the title track is the best non-Beatles, Beatles-y track you'll find.
@RichardS7370 27/9?! I managed to get a top 5 from this round. Now I'm going to spend until the 27th second-guessing myself. BAD, Scritti Politti. The The or Lou Reed may still sneak in after all. Nothing stops The Dreaming taking top spot though - all-time favourite album.
@RichardS7370 Always good to see Kate Bush near the top of the list - let's hope it's a reflection of real Kate Bush fans and The Dreaming does as well. Delighted to see Soul Mining make it through. Sad to see Blue Bell Knoll > Victorialand and 1999 > Parade.
@Top10Nathan Much as I love bands like Depeche Mode or The Human League, OMD have always been my favourite early synthpop band. They lost their way a little after 'Dazzle Ships', but their recent stuff is superb.
