“I have seen everything during this senseless life of mine. I have seen good citizens die for doing the right thing, while criminals live and prosper.”
Ecclesiastes 7:15
Akii bua stadium really has many facilities besides the main stadium, check the outdoor facilities of the stadium. It will have Athletics Track,Training Grounds, Hard Courts: Multi-use outdoor spaces designed for basketball, volleyball, netball, and tennis, Aquatic Zone
@TheMutaD I wanted to hear: Workplan; Shifts; Work breakdown Structure; Activities; Critical path and what is being down to mitigate risks in the critical path.
Guess, that is on a technical level!
I will start with my own journey. In early June 2020, my relationship with one of my bosses soured. I chose to fight back, which led to certain political maneuvers against me including attempts of Political Pressure by Hon. Odur of Erute County and Hon. Okupa of Kasilo County (they were consistently facilitated for this) to have me interdicted. They failed completely because, despite the immense political pressure, there was absolutely no evidence against me.
I also remember about 10 years back, when the President publicly announced the firing of the Ministry of Health's Head of Procurement (I think his name was Mugisha). While he was 'fired' in theory by the President, the strict realities of the Public Service Standing Orders meant he couldn't actually be dismissed; instead, he was simply transferred to a ministry with far less scrutiny.
So here is why Political Leaders should not involve themselves corruption fight in front of media cameras.
1. Political Posturing replaces Real Investigations
Suspending or dismissing suspects on camera is designed for optics, not justice. It creates the illusion of action while avoiding the hard work of:
⏩️Evidence collection
⏩️Forensic audits
⏩️Prosecutorial follow‑through
2. Presumption of Guilt Contaminates the Investigation.
A public suspension is like presuming a guilty verdict instead of innocent until proven guilty, before investigators have even done their work. Which
⏩️Biases witnesses
⏩️Pressures investigators to confirm the political narrative
⏩️Undermines due process
⏩️Makes the final case legally vulnerable
3. The actions of Hon. Balaam and Hon. Nameere do not Confront the Sharks in Government.
In your argument you drop in a line of the purported UGX 9 Trillion a year lost to corruption. It is misleading. According to the budget release of Q1 FY 2026/2027 Local Governments were allocated UGX 428.7 Billion which is 3.5% of that budget released. For all of them 146 Districts. What impact can that have on reducing that UGX 9 Trillion lost to corruption per year
4. Due Process Violations give Suspects Legal Escape Routes
Due process is the backbone of any legitimate criminal prosecution. Without it, the justice system becomes arbitrary, biased, and vulnerable to wrongful convictions. Public Suspensions or Arrests by Politicians violate:
⏩️Employment and Labour Laws
⏩️Administrative Procedure
⏩️Disciplinary Rules
Suspects may later and will most likely argue:
⏩️Unlawful Suspension
⏩️Political Interference
⏩️Procedural Unfairness
In most cases the courts will agree and the cases collapse.
Politicians will then blame the courts, even though they contaminated the case.
5. Parallel Processes Weaken Formal Anti‑Corruption Bodies
Arrests and Interdiction by Political Actors bypass:
⏩️IGG
⏩️CID
⏩️DPP
⏩️Auditor General
⏩️FIA
Politicians create ad‑hoc “task forces” and media‑driven directives that undermine professional investigators. Institutions lose authority; politics takes over. The result might be:
⏩️No single agency owns the case.
⏩️No single agency finishes the case.
In summary, politicians compromise the anti‑corruption fight by:
⏩️Turning Investigations into Theatrics
⏩️Prejudicing Cases
⏩️Shielding Real Networks
⏩️Contaminating Evidence
⏩️Weakening Investigators
⏩️Creating Legal Loopholes
⏩️Duplicating Processes
⏩️Fragmenting Mandates
Which leads to No convictions. No deterrence. No accountability.
Real Anti‑Corruption Fight requires:
⏩️One empowered, Insulated Lead Agency
⏩️Quiet, Evidence‑driven Investigations
⏩️Zero Political Interference
⏩️Coordinated Enforcement
⏩️Protected Investigators
Today I have seen you compare this to the corruption fight within @MODVA_UPDF. The actions taken by CDF to fight corruption were never with the media watching.
I AM NOT SAYING THE PEOPLE ARRESTED SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ARRESTED. LIKE I SAID SOMEWHERE ELSE HON. BALAAM AND HIS DEPUTY SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED THEIR TOUR, COME TO THEIR OFFICES AND THEN SEND WRITTEN INSTRUCTION TO POLICE TO ARREST THE OFFICERS.
@OttoSam50178310@BalaamBarugahar@JustineNameere@mkainerugaba@KagutaMuseveni Technical fields require forensic audits before you come with cameras & damage someone’s career without objective evidence. Many have been cleared of wrong doing; however, the clearances are never loud as the arrests. People have those dents for life! Due process always.
