According to multiple people I spoke with Michael Block walked off the course in the Senior European Tour event after the 12th hole today in the final round of the PGA Seniors

According to the multiple people I spoke with, the word in the locker room was he didn't say anything to his playing partners.

Multiple people said it was known Block was frustrated with the course conditions.

This morning he showed up to his tee time late and was given a two-stroke penalty.

He shot an opening nine of 43 and after a bogey on 12, he walked in.

On the leaderboard he is listed as a DQ.

He was in the field on a sponsors exemption.

Two things can be true about the 3M Open:

1. It’s a great opportunity for a lot of players to obtain their first win, top 5 or even top 10 on the PGA tour.

2. It is still a bottom 3 event on the tour this season, but THAT’S OK!

@BigMikeCPA Have to think the PGA likes it because it’s another TPC course. TPC Twin Cities isn’t a top 10 course in the state.

A better question would be, what courses would be interested in hosting a yearly tournament the week after The Open?

@LouScoops @LegionHoops Never buy too much stock into summer league. The last two MVPs were Jalen Wilson and Cam Whitmore. I will say that I love his jump shot so far. My biggest fear was that he wouldn’t be able to shoot 3s and man has he proved me wrong so far.
