Statement on Felix Morka's Threatening Remarks Towards Mr. Peter Obi

The comments made by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Arise TV on January 5, 2025, stating that "Mr. @PeterObi has crossed the line so many times and he has what’s coming to him, and whatever he gets, he should manage it," are not only alarming but a blatant threat against his person.

This statement confirms what Mr Peter Obi has repeatedly said—that his life, his business, and all that he represent are under coordinated attacks aimed at dismantling his contributions to national discourse and progress. Such a public declaration is not only reckless but also serves as a direct endorsement of violence and intimidation.

During his New Year briefing, Mr @PeterObi addressed critical issues facing the nation and offered thoughtful suggestions and a way forward. He did not call any individual's name or attack anyone personally. He's positions are based on documented facts, principles, and his commitment to addressing the challenges confronting Nigerians.

It is crucial to ask: Which line did he cross, and who drew that line? What did he say that was so intolerable that it warranted an open and visible threat? As a democratic society, we should celebrate dialogue, dissent, and constructive criticism, not resort to threats, intimidation, or suppression.

Mr @PeterObi stand for ideals and issue-based politics. He has consistently stayed within these bounds, focusing on the solutions to our nation's challenges. It is deeply troubling that under a government that should uphold democratic principles, we are witnessing a descent into a culture of intimidation and repression.

Let it be unequivocally clear: if anything happens to Mr Peter Obi, his family, or those associated with him, Nigerians and the world at large now know where the responsibility lies.
